    A fantastic second chance romance!

It's been 15 years since Logan Steele left the love of his life, to do the honorable thing and marry the mother of his child. Lizbeth Sanders has never found anyone who could compare to Logan and she has tried. Now, 15 years later, he's divorcing his wife and his brother tells him he's found his lost love, Lizbeth. Could it be that easy? Will she still want him after all these years? Will his soon-to-be ex-wife try to cause any trouble? I love this book! The story has the potential to be drug out so much longer but the author expertly stayed on point with the storyline. 15 years is a long time to be pining away for the love of your life. The emotions Lizbeth was feeling when she first saw Logan, I felt them too! I was so excited and happy for them both but it takes a strong person to deal with an ex and their children. Awesome second chance Romance! This is my first book by Alannah Lynne and I am definitely a fan. The books in the Heat Wave series can all be read as stand alones. Off I go to start book one, Saving Me. Received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

    sexy twists in this one!

This reunited lovers romance is the story of Logan and Lizbeth. When Logan broke up with his college girlfriend Lizbeth to take on the responsibility of fatherhood resulting from discovering his high school girlfriend had had his baby, Lizbeth resigns herself to that era of her life being over and the loss of her first love. Now fifteen years later, Logan is divorced and willing to do anything to convince Lizbeth to give him a second chance. Can she trust him not to break her heart again? Well, I must admit to being surprised at the location of Lizbeth and Logan's reunion! Having not read any of this series before I'm not sure if where they meet up again is supposed to be a surprise and it wasn't mentioned in the plot synopsis for the story so I'll keep this spoiler free. Suffice it to say, it certainly spiced things up! There is no denying the sexual attraction between Logan and Lizbeth and it hasn't waned in all the years they've been apart. Sexy love scenes ensue and it's obvious that they still have strong feelings for each other. I liked the two of them together, and the fact that even though Lizbeth had her heart broken by Logan, she's willing to give him a second chance, and understands the circumstances that led to their breakup. Also, I really appreciated Logan's relationship with his three teenage children. He obviously cares for them deeply and makes an effort to be part of their lives despite the divorce. The second half of the story takes a rather serious turn that I found jolted me out of what to that point had been a fairly lighthearted and sexy read. I'm still not quite sure how I feel about how the plot unfolded though it didn't deter me from wanting to know how things would end up for Lizbeth and Logan. At the end of the story there was a nice teaser chapter for a new series that looks very intriguing! Overall, despite the serious turn I enjoyed this sexy romance and I'm looking forward to catching up on the series. 3.5 stars.

    Second Chance at Love

This story is about second chances at love. Sixteen years ago Lizabeth Sanders fell in love with Logan Steele while at college. After spending the whole summer together, each of them go back home for a few days. Logan runs into his ex high school sweetheart, who has a baby, with his eyes! Being the type of man who always does what is expected of him, he goes back to NC State and breaks things off with Lizabeth to go back home, marry Bobbi Jo and help raise their baby girl. Lizabeth has never gotten over Logan. Now, Logan is getting divorced and through a random stroke of good luck, his twin brother, Lucas runs into Lizabeth and finds out she is currently single and has never married. Lucas and friends Sam and Kevin decide to play matchmaker to try and get these two back together. I loved these two characters. They both tried so hard to get on with their lives but were still so strongly drawn to each other. I loved Lucas' club and Lizabeth's reaction to it! Let's just say it was very HOT! Lizabeth and Logan are just meant to be together. Their chemistry is off the charts! I loved the twisted story line regarding his ex Bobbi Jo, and their kids were a great addition. Lizabeth and Logan's happy ending was a long time coming, but it was well worth the wait! Looking forward to Muriel and Mathew's story but even more for Lucas' story! That should be really good!

    A Hot Read

A second chance at love. Lizbeth and Logan were college sweethearts, fast forward fifteen years for a reconnection. Both with failed relationships, in fact Lizbeth never married. The sex took up right where they left it, only much more exciting than before. Can I say hot. I really enjoyed the characters in this book, both very likeable. Now the exwife, Bobbi Jo, she is just pure evil. This book is part of a series, can be read as a stand alone. Love the writing of Alannah Lynne, you will not be able to stop turning the pages. Contemporary romance at it's best. I received this book from the author for an honest review.

    Loved this book!

Fifteen years ago, Lizbeth Sanders had her heartbroken by the one man she thought she would spend the rest of her life with. When Logan Steele told her all of those years ago that he could no longer be with her because of the discovery that he had a daughter with his high school sweetheart, she knew she would never know a love like the one she’d known with him. When Lizbeth encounters Logan’s twin brother, Lucas, at an event she’s putting on, he wants her to come see the club he owns in the area. After some convincing, Lizbeth agrees to accompany him if for no other reason than so she didn’t have to go back to the hotel alone. Once they arrive at the club, Lizbeth realizes she’s not in the type of club she was envisioning and being in this space once again brings back memories of the man she lost so many years ago. What Lizbeth doesn’t realize is that Lucas has been working to bring that man back into her life. A stunned Lizbeth is reacquainted with Logan at the club and sparks fly immediately. There is no denying the fact that the two are still very much in love. When Logan confesses that his marriage is over and that she is the woman he’s always loved and wanted to be with, Lizbeth can hardly believe it to be true. As the two begin to discuss how to move forward with their lives, Logan gets a call that may derail their newly rediscovered relationship – or at least it’s going to delay it. As Logan deals with an emergency with his family, Lizbeth wonders if their relationship is over again before it really began. Will Logan and Lizbeth be able to overcome the new obstacle put in their path? Matter of Time is one of those books you read and it makes you hope that people who love one another that much, do have the opportunity to be together at some point in their lifetime. Maybe not when they originally wanted to be, but if a love is that strong, it shows that it can transcend any obstacles in its path. Kudos to Alannah Lynne for crafting a great romance.
