  • It was okay

I did enjoy reading it, but must admit what started as a great story with lots of potential was starting to get a little boring. So, they are walking in the desert / sun-flared wasteland - the lightening storm was interesting. However, the whole build up of how the girls need to destroy the boys in order to get the cure somehow falls flat, because then they join together without any fanfare whatsoever. The people with the flare, I assume are like sort-of Zombies, but not scary zombies. Also, Thomas is too dramatic and hopelessly too sulky. But I'll continue reading, because there is still the question of 'why are they here?' and 'why is WICKED doing this?' So far, the answers have not answered THE question.

  • Maze runner 2: The scorch trials

These books are amazing...at the end of the maze runner I thought I was starting to understand what was going on but then this book had me second guessing and questioning everything I thought I knew. I feel like one of the gladers! I can't wait to read the next book and for everything to hopefully start to fall into place.

  • For Hunger Game fans

If you enjoyed Hunger Games, you're likely to enjoy this. However, it's but as gripping as the aforementioned series. The story is well composed, but does end up relying heavily on the reader not asking to many questions about the believability of a world in which torturing teenage bid could lead to a cure for some terrible disease.
