    Can Best Friends Become More?

After reading book 1 of this series (about Conor and Sam), I was looking forward to Sean and Megan's story. Although I loved book 1 the most, this book was very enjoyable also! I very much enjoyed going back to River's Edge and reacquainting myself with the characters there! It was especially fun to catch up with Conor and Sam and Ali (Conor's daughter)....their wedding was a highlight for me! When Sean gets shot on the courthouse steps by a client's ex, he needs to come home to rest and recuperate. His best friend, Megan, has always been there for him throughout his life. I liked seeing how the two of them, Sean and Megan, gradually worked their "best friend" status into a romantic relationship. They didn't plan it, it just happened over time! It's always a fun trope! I also loved the "second stories" of the other characters going on. It was just a fun book and I loved reading it! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

    Friends to Lovers

I thoroughly enjoyed this book of friends to lovers. Sean and Megan have been best friends since childhood and took it for granted until tragedy strikes and Sean returns home to River's Edge. Sean soon discovers his feelings go further than friendship and now to win over his best friend, Megan. Loved these characters, I always believe a good relationship starts with a friendship. This story brought me in from the beginning. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

    Cute Romance

With this being the book of the "The Four Irish Brothers Winery" series I have read, I have to say it was an enjoyable experience. If you don't know me by now I've always been a sucker for the friends to lovers trope and the author did a great job putting these two characters together. The relatable lead characters that held a close bond and friendship, and overall cute romance story made it a decent read despite how I was displeased by the rush ending. It could have definitely ended with a better note but overall, a good read.

    A bit dull

This is a pleasant, but rather dull friends-to-lovers romance. It’s part of a series about four brothers who own a winery in southern Indiana. I haven’t read the first book in the series and there were a lot of characters to keep straight at first. The premise is that Sean and Megan have been best friends for 20 years and now, in their late 30s are just figuring out that they’ve always been meant for each others. These seem to be rather clueless people and I found myself rather uninterested in their slow awakening to how much they love each other. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

    Friends-to-Lovers

Meant to Be is Nan Reinhardt’s second book in the Four Irish Bro Winery Series. I liked this book as much as I liked the first. She gives the reader extremely likable characters. Also friends-to-lovers trope is one of my favorite. I think since these two had known each other for so long they took their feelings for granted as merely friendship until disaster strikes. It is a hard wake-up call when those you love might not always be around. No doubt causing you to re-evaluate your life. Sean and Megan grew up together as best friends but their lives took them in different directions. Once feelings were acknowledged, it still took a big part of the story for both sides to see it as the true choice and not the safe choice. That felt like it would happen in real life, that feelings would need to be looked at closely. I found it believable when instant would have felt too fast. While Sean and Megan and their relationship are focal, there is a great deal of family in this story. Of course, after what happened there would be if the family was close. So I enjoy all the supporting characters old and new as the wedding proceeded for Conor and Sam. In fact, I would have been disappointed if Ali had not made a few appearances. Great visit with the Flaherty Brothers as one marries and another finds the love of his life. Perhaps not a true stand-alone, but why not read all the Flaherty men’s stories. I am looking forward to the next, who will it be? An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
