    Fresh Meat!

Who wants some fresh meat? I guarentee you will, and his name is Rex. The title has a couple of meanings. And I’ll get to that. Rebecca has just come from her aunt’s funeral and is still in mourning. She’s in the airport when she bumps into tall, dark, and delicious Rex. They are both headed for the same flight, but it ends up getting canceled. After having dinner, they end up making magic where Rebecca finds out just what he’s made of south of the border. When they get back home, she finds out that he’s the new head chef at the restauraunt that she manages. In the week she’s been off, he’s already made major changes that have earned him the title T-Rex. They end up butting heads. Can he get her back? Will his secrets push her away for good, or can they overcome it all to find happiness

    Not for me

I had really high hopes for this one. I mean tatted up super sexy chef - hell yeah!!! This just seemed to be a book that was trying to be too much on too few pages. It's super short and while it had some super hot sexy times there just wasn't much meat to the story (yes, I went there)! It started out well enough but I soon tired of the dual personalities of Rex and the flip flopping of Rebecca. Sorry to say I have to give this one a big no.

    Hot meat

Rebecca meets Rex when she runs into him at the airport. Things get hot very fast between them. Then, the next time they see one another the sparks fly for multiple reasons. Rex has secrets that he is hiding from everyone. He has his reasons, but they make for lies and deception all the same. Rebecca resents that he could not trust her. Seriously HOT read! Really sweet in many ways, Totally unexpected but really liked it. ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publishers in exchange for an honest review only.

    quick and hot

Meat is quick easy read. I enjoyed this one and love how it follows the story through. The characters are very well written and the story line is easy to follow. Making the book a fast read. Rebecca and Rex have so great chemistry from the start and their passion is incredible. Rex is dominant in and out of bed and that is easily to be seen through his actions. He is also very stubborn and determined and once he has a goal he will do anything to achieve it and this time his main goal and prize is Rebecca. Rebecca is going through rough period in her life and it seems that she is losing her true family and family she had with her coworkers. But in her life comes Rex. A strong dominant man who turns from charming man in to a tyrant. Will she give him the chance to show her his true color??? Light and sweet. A good story with no surprises. *ARC provided by Netgalley and author in exchange for an honest review

    Meat by Opal Carew

MEAT by Opal Cares is a stand alone, erotic romance story between professional chef Rex Keene, and restaurant manager Rebecca. Told from dual third person perspective (Rex and Rebecca) MEAT is a story of insta-lust/love with elements of a Dominant/submissive relationship that follows our leading couple from an accidental meeting at the airport to a surprise reveal that Rex Keene is the new head chef at the hotel restaurant where Rebecca’s works. What ensues is a series of misunderstandings, secrets and the revelation that all is not well in the food service industry. As Rex continues to serve notice to a number of Rebecaa’s friends and fellow employees, Rebecca begins to suspect that Rex isn’t who he claims to be. MEAT is a story with graphic but tempered sexual situations of Domination and submission including a hero whose sexual appendage is too large to believe. There is quite a bit of duplication in the text as it pertains to certain parts of the anatomy, and the bedroom talk and language is cringe worthy and bordering on a bad porn script. The story behind the story with regards to the restaurant and hotel business is interesting –I would have liked more details about the investigation, and fewer lines of awkward sex talk –before, during and after.
