    A winner

Is there life after death? Investigators Max Blake and partner Caeli Brown find it's true for Caeli's troublesome Irish uncle Jack, a former crusading archbishop in Northern Ireland. Thought killed in a shootout, Max and Caeli get a postcard from Uncle Jack postmarked the Vatican, sending them on a wild and dangerous mission to rescue the man from the clutches of a maniacal prelate. Buried in the secret recesses of the Vatican, Uncle Jack has been ferreting though secret files that no one wants made public. Set in and around Rome and the Vatican, author Florence lavishes the story with plenty of Italian culture and language, and with his cast of unforgettable characters, offers a rollicking and highly readable adventure. The story is a winner from the get-go and left me looking for the next installment. Don't miss this one! Dan Brown, move over!
