    Thanks for your feedback!

    Good plot, horrible writting.

I am a big fan of sword and sorcery style books, I am also a huge fan of Selina's artwork. However, her writing style leaves much to be desired. There were serval times each page that I had to reread passages to understand what was going on. Subjects switching in the midst of sentences, verb subject agreement not being used and ambiguous terms being used made this book hard to read. (I.e. using terms like the hand when there were several in the scene, not differentiating between characters. One sentence talks about a dragons voice and how its strong voice, a commanding voice that rumbles through their bodies. It took several attempts at that sentence for me to realize the gender of the dragon was not being established but that Selina went from talking about the dragon's voice to the main character's bodies.) It was written poorly. I love books, I have books that are guilty pleasures. I would never pick this book back up once it's finished. It's plot is interesting but I can't choke down the bad grammar. I'm grateful I recieved it as a free book.

    Immersive YA Fantasy World

What an excellent beginning to a young adult fantasy series! The author draws you right in with an action scene that gets you immediately empathizing with the main character and her plight. The author is able to convey the fear the character feels and the lack of knowledge that frustrates her. The heroine is thrust into this world that is not her own, and she has no sense of who she actually is or how she got there. But she is immediately imperiled and is soon mixed up with more than she had ever dreamt of in her previous reality. She does have an ally or two, but more are against her than for her. What truly makes this book above and beyond most other young adult fantasy books is the complexity of the world—which thankfully the author does not info dump about—the depth of the characterizations, and the evocative illustrations. You don't usually see illustrations like this included in young adult fantasy books; illustrations are often just left for books meant for younger readers. These illustrations are perfect and give you a true vision of what the characters feel and what their world is. If you enjoy young adult fantasy series, this is a start to what looks like will be a fantastic one. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
