    Totally appropriate

This story of a child's growth from terrified orphan into a young woman confident in her magical abilities is thoroughly entertaining. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and will again.

Mercerian Tales: The Call Of Magic

This is a fascinating story about Albreda. It fills in her life before Servant of the Crown. I couldn't put this story down until it was finished. You'll totally enjoy this book. I'm sure of it.

Enjoyed every word -- a Must Read

This is a well written novella. I enjoyed the past experiences Albreda has had, and the introduction of Andronicus into the series. That fleshed out the main story line dramatically. It could, however, have been a bit longer and given a few more events. Her full story must be very interesting. A must read for anyone enjoying Paul's books.

    Excellent read.

This is an excellent book. Its only problem is that it’s too short. Just Aas you get into the story the book is finished.

Always nice to know your history

A back story on the history of the Witch of the White Wood, and of magic in this world.. I don’t like leaving spoilers in my reviews, so will repeat the author’s suggestion for read this book after Shadow of the Crown. You won’t regret it,
