  • New Beginning...

Brand new kickoff for Christy Reece. Option Zero. When there is no one else. Asher Drake is the one. He and his team of operatives are often the last resort. Jules Stone owes him and he doesn’t even know it. Her past may be a mystery but their future isn’t. So, I am a Christy Reece junky. I stalk her. I email her. I ask her random questions and she tolerates me. Grey Justice, her previous series, was my ever-loving favorite, all time. When LCR Elite finished, I cried. Option Zero is going to be no different. Ms. Reece always creates worlds where you want to live. Her heroes are strong, alpha men and her heroines are just as strong. They aren’t wilting flowers, waiting to be saved. Usually they have as strong personalities and character flaws as the heroes they fall in love with. Asher Drake and Jules Stone hit the mark. This is an awesome start and I can’t wait to see what and who comes next….

  • What A Great Start To This New Series!

Wow. Just wow! Talk about twists and turns!! This one had me second guessing myself over and over - I can trust this character. No, I can't. Yes, I can. I loved it!!! Asher Drake has had a target on his back for too long. He needs to bring down the woman that caused him to lose everything. Lose everyone. Now that he's one of the leaders of Operation Zero he has even more resources to do just that. He just needs to be patient. A new addition to the crew just may be his ticket to revenge. He'll never get back what he's lost, but he'll die trying to at least make it right. Jules Stone has followed Asher Drake's life ever since she caused..... well, let's just say she needs to make things right. But, fixing things might just ruin everything at the same time. Can they work together to bring down the evil that's plagued both of them, or will a trust be broken, sending them both back into the darkness? I loved these two!! Like I said before, I wasn't sure who to trust here! Was there any way out for the two of them? GAH!!! SO GOOD!!! Definitely grab this one! This series is going to be EPIC!!

  • Amazing Romantic Suspense!

There are many definitions of romantic suspense out there, from the Romance Writers of America’s definition to Goodreads take on it, then to the opinion of bloggers and readers everywhere. But I love a definition I found of it - a “romantic suspense” is a novel with a story that is driven equally and simultaneously by the threat of danger and the promise of romance. Most of the most excellent romantic suspense stories I have read come close to this formula. For an author to hit that perfect sweet spot – the equal and simultaneous parts of suspense and romance – does not always happen. But somehow, some way, Christy Reece seems to obtain that pinnacle with each book, each series, she writes. And with Merciless, her first book in the Option Zero series, she somehow manages to outdo even herself! Jules Stone and Asher Drake are scarred from life experiences that shaped them into present-day fighters for good and hunters of evil. When Jules comes onboard to Asher’s group Option Zero, she joins a team of warriors that all have different secrets, scars and backgrounds. But like her, they are all united in the fight for justice, using any means necessary. But when an enemy from Asher’s past, one that has many tentacles (do they reach into Jules’ world?), the OZ team must begin what could be their ultimate battle for justice. This book is perfect; well-written, well plotted and character-driven. There is plenty of suspense: the planning of the mission, the pulse-pounding action and the intrigue of the “evil” plot. And then there is the perfect blend of romance: one that is filled with more than just chemistry or lust, but saturated with the deepest emotions. Her characters are complex, with backstories just under the surface that reach down to hidden depths. With a Christy Reece book, the romance and the suspense is just “more” – more intense, more deep, more tragic, more chilling – than most books in this genre. And always just perfectly balanced. I thought Ms. Reece hit her peak with the Last Chance Rescue series, then with the Grey Justice series. But now with Option Zero, I realize she may just be getting started. And that is a win for not just readers of romantic suspense, but all readers who love a well-crafted book!

  • A quick paced, page turner!

At our core, that’s who we are. We help people who have nowhere else to turn, who have zero options.” Christy Reece has done it again and introduced us to a new group of hero’s who help those that cannot help themselves. The team of Option Zero is run by Asher Drake who is filled with angst, swoon worthy and leads his team with his heart and soul. Jules Stone is such a strong character and has lots of secrets that she hasn’t shared. If you are looking for a suspense filled, action packed, page turner, then look no further!
