    Perfect for the holidays

This is the first Jenny Holiday book I've read but it certainly won't be the last. Merrily Ever After is a wonderful mix of witty writing, likeable characters, sass, humor and just the right amount of of steamy romance. Thanks to Jenny and NetGalley for a delightful read.

    Delightful holiday tale

This is a delightful holiday tale about Elise and Jay, a happily married couple that is madly in love....until an unexpected pregnancy throws a wrench into their relationship. , While they're both struggling to deal with their feelings about the pregnancy, neither is sure what it means for their marriage. This book is a warm and thoughtful Christmas story that will tug on your heartstrings. I read this is one sitting and found myself engrossed in Elise and Jay's story. If you enjoy the genre, this is a must read

    A wonderful holiday novella!

**I received an early copy of this title courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review** I loved reading Jay and Elise's story in Once Upon A Bride, so I was excited to know that we were getting a novella for them as well. So far marriage has been everything that Jay and Elise have ever wanted. It's been pure bliss and they are madly in love. A wrench is thrown into their well laid plans when Elise discovers that she is pregnant. Not only did she think it was medically impossible for her to get pregnant, Jay has always made it perfectly clear he did not want to be a father. When Elise breaks the news to Jay, she's hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Will these two be able to work through this large bump in the road or will it end the paradise they have been enjoying? I really enjoyed how Jenny Holiday laid out this novella and while it was pretty angsty, I loved it. I enjoyed watching this couple confront their fears and work through their issues together. There was a bit of everything in this book and there were definitely swoonworthy moments! Can't wait for the next book in this series when it comes out next year!

Made my heart feel all sorts of warm and fuzzy

I have to say that I am falling in love with Elise and Jay! I found them to be so charming together in Once Upon a Bride and I loved getting the insider’s scoop on how they came to be together. In Merrily Ever After, they are going to have to survive the one thing that neither of them ever counted on, but was absolutely a sweet blessing. Throughout the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series it has been made known that Elise suffered with fertility complications which warranted her belief that having children naturally was out of her reach. Despite knowing this, her most secret desire was to carry a child. So secret, in fact, that only her closest gal pals new the distress that her infertility caused her. Jay, on the other hand, had gone out of his way to never ever end up a father and to him Elise was a dream woman because she couldn’t have children and there was no way he would ever consider other avenues. His childhood had left him with very large doubts about his ability to be a good father and he never wanted to fill that role in any way. All Jay wanted to do was to love his new wife and have a happy life, just him and Elise. Nothing could have prepared him for the news that Elise was pregnant. To say that he took the news badly would be an understatement. Merrily ever After may have been short but it was quite engaging. I loved how Elise’s friends were right there with her supporting her when she was agonizing over the reality that she had somehow ended up pregnant and wasn’t sure how she was going to tell her husband. It was tough to watch Jay and Elise deal with such a sensitive topic, especially because Jay’s character did not deal with the news in a kind or supportive manner but it was so wonderful to see these characters be so open and honest about their feelings (eventually) and their new future together. It made my heart feel all sorts of warm and fuzzy and this is a novella that I highly recommend to fans of this series! This review is based on a complimentary book I received from NetGalley. It is an honest and voluntary review. The complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating.
