  • Pay attention

I was so stoked for Franka's story that I was a little let down when it went so fast. The one thing I've always loved about Kristen's books is that even though the main characters struggle with their feelings throughout, its in the midst of real life scenarios. With this series, the scenarios are (excuse the pun) so fantastical that you have to be embroiled within the fantasy world that Kristen brings to life on paper. So when I realized the there would be no extreme car chases, bombs going off, kidnapping, or life or death situations, I was a little torn. However when I sat back, and let all that I read soak in I smiled. Then I sighed, because early on it was not Noc who had to save the girl(which in essence he did) it was Franka that had to come to terms with the fact that it was ok to love someone without fear of that someone leaving or being taken away. And finding the courage to give back what she received even when he didn't want her help, and weather the storm of his wrath, like she weathered another all her life. The story of her love, their love was beautiful. And for that reason just like with all her other books I will reread it with relish. Rock on KA!

  • It was so badly written it was entertaining.

I read this whole series all of them were the B movie equivalent of a romance know novel. However this one was worse. It was like the author ran out of plot point's and tried to cobel a bunch of events together trying to mimic a story line. Then you have the fact that nun of the characters have a unique voice and they sound like they are 15.

  • Emotional upheaval!

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, but I knew it would be heavy. I took a small break from my binge of the rest of the series when I got to this one, I needed time to re-group before heading into Franka’s story. I was glad I did, because while this did turn it around, it was a storm of emotions to get there. And not what I expected, not what anyone would, and even when you thought you knew, you didn’t, and it turned again. You knew there had to be brightness, there had to be hope, and sunshine, and rainbows, for these two, and it did all come together in the end. This story brought all sorts of emotions with it and it resonated deeply and will have a lasting effect. In other words, I loved it <3
