    Mightier Than The Sword

Once again I was suckered in by the esteemed author! As usual a great ending (which you do not realize is happening!), but the wait - approximately one year - for the next installment is sooooo hard!!

    Short

Feel like he is drawing out this story a bit. Was it me or was this book short Still I did enjoy the story and certainly look forward to the next one

The story gets better with each book !

In my opinion Jeffrey Archer is among the best - if not THE best story teller. He never disappoints. Can't wait for number 6, to learn what was in that mysterious letter.

    More waiting in store!!!

The conflicts continue: Giles Barrington vs Major Alex Fletcher in the latest elections. Emma Clifton vs. Lady Virginia Fenwick in court. Sebastian follows his heart to America and finds surprises he never expected. Harry Clifton heads to Russia looking for the forbidden novel. We barely solve one dilemma when the next appears. Cliff hanger ending AGAIN. Oh Jeffrey Archer you are devious! We love these characters but hate the waiting.......

    More of the same

The fifth book in the Clifton Chronicles. An easy read with familiar characters going through familiar and somewhat predicted dramas, passions, loves found and lost and conquering heroes who overcome and defeat unimaginable odds. I found it quite difficult to get into this book because I was beginning to get bored with the predictability of the story and the actions and reactions of the characters, I didn't find anything new in it. I finished the book because I was invested in the characters and wanted to see how it would end... (spoiler alert)...the ending pleasantly surprised me with an unexpected cliffhanger, which intrigued me but also frustrated me because I was ready for it to end. I felt this book was one too many to what started out as a really good series.
