    Could have been better

Sometimes I expect too much from King's stories. Mildly intriguing but mostly a story of "this grown up didn't get it, neither did this one, but this little kid saved the day." Almost like if Robert Munsch wrote a violent story.

    Mile 81

I'm a gr8 fan of Kings work. When I purchased " Mile 81", I too thought I was buying a full length novel. It's almost as if Mr.King had a few good ideas laying around & decided to throw them into a "crazy car" story..oh wait he has already done that. Remember CHRISTINE??? Still, all in all, I rather enjoyed "Mile 81". I wish it would stated up-front that this was a short story, then, perhaps my $4.00 might have been better spent.

    Hmmmm...

As much as I love Stephen King's stories, Mile 81 felt like he suddenly grew tired of writing the story and just stopped. Too bad because the story line was just getting interesting when the short story abruptly ended. Loved the concept but wished there had been more to it.
