  • Will Asher finally get his girl?

Izzy had no intention of picking up where she left off with Asher a year ago – until Jessie intervened and once again, she’s smack in the middle between the two brothers. She continues to fight her feelings for Asher, aware she’s keeping secrets from both men. If those truths are exposed, everything is lost. I enjoyed this second chance romance, but admit to more than a bit of frustration at Izzy’s flighty behaviour as she blew hot, then cold in pursuing a relationship with Asher. Good thing Asher was a patient man – for the most part anyway. The story took an interesting side journey as Izzy’s search for her birth mother yielded some surprising results. I loved Gram’s character! She was endearing, entertaining and oh-so-hip! The story is well written with well-defined and intriguing characters. There’s plenty of drama and angst, some humour, secrets, treachery, mystery and surprising revelations, along with several seriously steamy encounters. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • An emotional and angst filled read!

I have been privileged to read each of T.K.'s books in this Games series and I have to say that Dangerous Games is by far the most angst filled! Izzy and Asher and Jessie put readers through the wringer with a triangle of sorts that evokes tons of emotions from start to finish. Izzy was engaged to Jessie eight years ago before their relationship came to an end and she cut all ties with him, his brother Asher, and his whole family. When she happens to run into Asher in Vegas one weekend, all kinds of feelings she had for him come boiling to the surface and they take full advantage of a city wide blackout. But when the lights come on the next day and reality comes streaming back in, Izzy heads back to New York determined to keep this little indiscretion a secret. After all, it's forbidden right? She should not have slept with her ex-fiancé's brother. Now a year later, she's thrust back into Asher's world when her ex-fiancé Jessie reaches out to her for help. Can she remain neutral and act like nothing happened? Asher York is a force to be reckoned with and the pull is strong, but what would happen if they acted on their feelings? What would that do to his relationship with his brother? Is it worth it? Like I said, this story is full of angst! The push and pull that Izzy does with Asher is strong! Just when I thought they were going to find a way and move forward, something else would pop up to derail them, and I almost couldn't take it!! I wanted to shake them both so many times and tell them, "just give in!" LOL But it's easy to say that when I'm not the one in that position with my heart on the line. T.K. does an amazing job of infusing so much emotion into each scene. I was glued to the pages, dying for these two to figure everything out. I was even hoping that Jessie would find his happily ever after before the book finished. And I could not get enough of the scenes with Grams. That woman is a hoot and a half! Loved seeing the other girls in this series and catch up with them. The tidbits we get of Nora sets the stage for her book next and I can't wait to see what's in store for her. There's some mystery/suspense in this story that was super fascinating to me. Mystery/thrillers are my newest obsession so I ate up those parts of the story. T.K. is a master at writing suspense as is evidenced with her Beautiful Mess Series and her Deception duet, so the secondary storyline involving Izzy's past was an added treat to this story for me. Readers of the Games series are in for a treat with this one, especially if you love angst!

  • Wonderful!

Love the series! I can't wait for Noras' story, she deserves her HEA too! Love this group of girls and that each story takes on a different set of challenges. I thoughg Chloes story would be the hardest hitting but Izzys dealt with so much more. Finding out the truth about her birth mother and helping to bring down a baby mill....excellent!

  • Forbidden/Second Chance Romance

This story ties together two of my favorite genres. There have been glimpses of this budding romance throughout the series. There are many secrets revealed in this one that I didn't see coming. I have to admit I wanted to thump Izzy in the forehead on numerous occasions. As always T. K. gives you all the feels. She writes great characters with dynamic personalities. Asher is totally swoon-worthy. I am in love with the Grandmother she is seriously funny. She needs her own RomCom. The author has added interesting suspense elements to this story. The flow was a little slow in places which is why I gave it 4 stars. I recommend this book to anyone with a soft spot for musicians. I am looking forward to the next book. I think that there will be even more back story.

  • Boomerang

Ahh...Asher! Need I say more? If you do need more information about this hot musician, then do not hesitate to pick up this book! This is Izzy and Asher’s story. We first meet these two in Wicked Games when they are in Vegas with Lincoln and Chloe. So glad we get to read about the chemistry these two had that night. There is so much history between these two. More than we even realize. I love that there were back stories or glimpses back into the past, so we have more of an idea of why things happened the way they did. Gram’s is a hoot, but very wise! She knows what she’s talking about. Something about Boomerang’s? :). This is a must read that I recommend! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
