    Sweet, Sexy, and Compelling!!!

This Birmingham Rebels series just keeps getting better and better! The plot is intriguing, the writing impressive, and the characters just jump right off the page! I've really come to love these characters. They're so original, authentic, and honest, and they completely draw you into the story and you just can't help but become invested in their lives. After that, rooting for them just becomes second nature. This particular story of Tom, Danny, and Carmina really hit home for me. Three people who need each other more than they know and a true testament to the healing power of true love. This book was impassioned and insightful, seductive and romantic, enchanting and enthralling, and absolutely riveting. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet, sexy, and compelling read. *I received a copy of this book via NetGalley and voluntarily chose to review. All opinions are my own.

    Hot as fire!

In book 4 of the Birmingham Rebels series Samantha Kane has set the hotness bar to a new level! All of the books in this series are seriously HOT but just when I think Ms. Kane can't come up with anything hotter she proves me wrong. I've wanted to learn more about Danny Smith ever since book one, Broken Play. Each of the books in this series can be read as standalones but for this one I'd recommend reading book one first so that you get more of Danny's backstory. Danny has been running from his desires for a long time. Tom Kelly, rookie running back for the Rebels, has been having a great time discovering what he likes and playing the field with both men and women. Carmina de la Cruz suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in Afghanistan serving her country. Her recovery is going well but there's one area that's still causing her a big problem. No matter what she's tried she can't orgasm; it's been over 3 years. Danny doesn't want a relationship with Tom but he does want Carmina. Can Tom convince Danny that the three of them are better together than alone? Misconduct is full of all kind of things that made me laugh and cry. Samantha Kane's stories have always had the ability to get my emotions fully engaged but in this book, she has outdone herself. I'm not a football fan but that doesn't matter when it comes to reading this series. The stories are about so much more than football; they are about people and the unconventional lives they choose to live. I'm not sure if there will be more stories in this series or not but whatever Samantha Kane writes next, I'm reading it! A review copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley but this did not influence my opinion or rating of the book. ***Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions dot com***

    4 STARS for Misconduct!!

4 STARS FOR MISCONDUCT!!! The story was entertaining, hot, sexy and a page turner. The characters are likeable, entertaining and who doesn't like football. Samantha Kane definitely knows how to make a story sizzle. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.

    Great addition to this series!

**Advanced copy provided by NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review** Misconduct is the fourth book in Samantha Kane's Birmingham Rebels series. I do believe that reading the first three books in this series help to frame some of what is referenced in the book and it also gives you background and basis on some of the relationships that are referenced. Carmina de la Cruz is still trying to find her new normal after being injured by an IED in Afghanistan. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and there are many things she is either learning to deal with or things that she desperately wants to get back to normal. One of those things is feeling like a woman. It has been three long years since she has felt like a woman. Because her best friend Sam plays for the Rebels, she spends a lot of time around the team and there have been not one, but two players who have caught her eye and she wonders if they might be the answer to her conundrum. Tom Kelly might be a rookie on the field, but he definitely isn't when it comes to knowing what he's doing in the bedroom. He certainly isn't hurting for companions and he doesn't discriminate, men, women, it doesn't matter to him as long as they are willing. When he learns of Carmina's plight, he's quick to want to help her out. Not only does he find her attractive, he's always fighting an attraction to his best friend and teammate Danny Smith. Danny has dabbled once with a man and he swears he'll never do it again, however there is a pull not only to Carmina, but also to Tom. As the three of them learn more about one another, it becomes apparent that Tom knows exactly what both Danny and Carmina needs. The question is, can Tom convince Danny to give he and Carmina a chance and can the guys make Carmina shut her mind off in order to get back what she's lost for so long? This book is definitely hot and is a great companion to the first books in this series. I do feel that this one delves a little deeper into the idea of letting go, trusting yourself, what you're feeling and most importantly to allow love into your life, regardless of what shape that comes in. I really enjoyed this addition to the series!

    Good romance

I was pleasantly surprised by Misconduct. I was expecting a book that started and ended with sex. Not only was the sex sparsely handed up in the book but the sex scenes were beautifully written. I have read several ménage books where everyone was just like “group sex/sex with a man. Let’s do it”. Instead, she had Danny teetering on the edge of wanting to do it and at the same time not wanting to. I loved it because when it finally does happen (both the group sex and sex with Tom), it was explosive. I really liked that while the sex was part of the book, the author chose to focus on the characters and their different issues instead just having them have sex all the time. Carmina was a Wounded Warrior and was in therapy to help her relearn how to talk. Tom was sowing his wild oats and Danny had issues going back to college with the quarterback of another team. It was interesting to watch how the author had them work through their issues (well Tom banging everything in sight really wasn’t an issue). Carmina was an interesting character to read. I will admit, that opening scene with the dildos and vibrators did make me giggle but once it was explained why she was having sexual issues, I stopped giggling. The giggling came back when she was telling Sam that she needed to have sex, to orgasm and he was pointed out who was wrong for her and she ended settling on Tom, her crush. And that first sex scene with Tom. I felt awful and honestly thought that maybe he should have stopped and not gotten off.00 I didn’t think that Danny or Tom would have ever crossed that threshold in the book (even though I knew it was going to happen). I really thought, at one point, that it would be just about Carmina and her sexual healing (sorry, had to throw that phrase in there). So when it did happen, I was a little surprised. Actually, a lot surprised. Now, ménage books are normally not my kind of thing to read. They really just don’t do it for me but this book did, somewhat. Like I said, the author didn’t have the main characters humping their way across the book and I think that is what did it for me. For me, too much sex can be a bad thing. The end of the book was what I expected. Not that I didn’t enjoy it, I did. It was just your typical HEA. **I chose to leave this review after reading an advance reader copy**
