    Laugh out loud

I loved this book! It was so sweet and funny, it only took me a few hours to devour this book. Emma Hart writes about such sweet characters who are quirky, funny and so loveable you wish you could meet them in real life. Kali is hired to work on Brantley's new home, did I mention he also has cute twins (Eli and Ellie) who also get up to mischief at any opportunity. The relationship between Kali and Brantley sizzles and at moments make you lagh out loud, especially when they keep getting interrupted. A great read and Emma Hart books make you laugh out loud. A must for anyone!

    So cute!

A slow burning romance, Miss Fix It is a fun read. Kali, a handywoman who took over the family business, meets single dad Bentley and his twins, Ellie and Eli. Kali is a woman who has it decided. No kids for her. She's single, a business owner, and an independent woman. Bentley is a hot single dad. He's new in town and he hires Kali to fix up his house. The chemistry between the characters is amazing. The kids are so realistic, and I loved watching Kali fall in love with them. Bentley and Kali has a tension filled, slow burn. The pages just sizzled when they were together. The story is well crafted, and hard to put down. The characters are interesting. While I would have liked to know a little bit more about Bentley, it didn't detract much from the story. Overall, I would recommend this to the reader looking for a rom com featuring a hot single dad.

    I NEED MORE!

I have read several of Emma Hart's books and I have to say that this book just turned into one of my favorites. This book was well written, it had a great storyline, there have been books before about widowed men but Emma Hart really did this story justice by how she created the character of Brantley. So you have Kali Hancock who is the local Handy women in her small town, a place where everyone knows your business by sun up. Then suddenly with the arrival of Brantley Cooper (cough: no relation to Bradley Cooper) and his two adorable twins Ellie and Eli, Kali's world is turn upside down. This book had soo many good things going on that it was really hard to put down, the incredible relationship between Kali and her step-mom Portia, the chemistry development between Kali and Brantley, and the bonding between Kali and the cute but handful twins. You then add in wrong advice from Kali's best friend and a town closely watching Kali and Brantley's every move and you have a funny, hot, cute book that will leave you wanting more once you hit the epilogue. I really did not want Kali and Brantley's story to end, its a shame that this is a standalone. I NEED MORE! I highly recommend this book to any and all book lovers who like a happy ending but more importantly who like stories that talk about the creation of a unorthodox family. Reviewed by: Glori I.

One Hot Dad... Two Adorable Twins!

I have read A LOT of Emma Hart's books thus far and she has the amazing ability to make me feel a multitude of emotions. But this is the first couple of hers that has tugged my heart strings so hard that I thought they might break. Emma Hart takes us to the small town of Rock Bay to have our hearts and libidos rocked by Kali and Brantley and two of the most adorable rambunctious four year olds. It wasn't long into Miss Fix-It and I was enchanted by the people of this quaint town and madly in love with them all! It was a story about finding love after loss that blows stereotypes out of the water and gives us a taste of small town antics like Gilmore Girls...and oh how I love Gilmore Girls! Kali Hancock is my kind of gal! She is sassy, classy, and little smart assy...or maybe a lot! She is a woman who wears a tool belt like it is a pair of heels and always has a sarcastic answer for everything...what's not to love? Kali immediately charmed me with not only her sarcastic wit and unconventional job but her level of honesty about her loss and relationships that a reader can't help but feel to their core. Emma allowed us to see deep into the heart of this heroine and gave us a front row seat to not only the lust and love that develops between her and Brantley but also all of her insecurities and misgivings that most of us women can we relate to from time to time. Brantley Cooper is beyond yummy with his stern “Dad voice”, firm but gentle “Dad hands”, and gorgeous body. He was impossible not to fall for amidst the tantrums, interesting child/parent conversations, and of course the sexy times between him and Kali...whew! I felt myself falling a little harder every time he would turn those smoldering blue eyes towards Kali. Emma Hart delivers a love story that is sure to tickle your funny bone, melt your heart, and incinerate your kindle. I highly recommend Miss Fix-it for not just humor and heat but also a whole lot of heart! Emma always gives her all to creating phenomenal story lines and unique multi-dimensional characters for her readers. All of her books require a place that you can sit and laugh and cry in equal measures.
