  • Well-written and inspiring

I found this novel emotional, painful and inspiring. Wounded warriors in any era face issues that are more complex than the folk back home will ever realize. Experiencing the devastation of attack, seeing your comrades lose limbs or dying in front of you, hearing the sounds of battle, all contribute to the inner conflict men and women experience when they return home again. However, it doesn't end there. The families of members of the military suffer as well. The fear of not knowing whether your loved ones will return; the fear of that phone call or visit from a commanding officer; the difficulties when a loved one returns but is at war with themselves. Brady is fortunate in finding himself in the arms of the Rise Again Warrior organization, and one can only hope that this book will be an inspiration to others to seek opportunities to assist those who desperately need it. I received a copy of this novel as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

  • Gutwrenching

Can you really repair a broken spirit? Stacy brings to light the plight of military men and women when they return from service as virtual throw aways in society. They leave filled with thoughts of making the world a better safer world for everyone and return broken with very little support from those that put them under conditions that are hard to come back from. They are shunned from people who wouldn't last 5 minutes in these conditions. Stacey gives us another heart wrenching story that brings hope to those that have lost so much

  • Highly recommended

Reviewed by K.C. Finn for Readers' Favorite Mission: Repair is a work of fiction in the military genre and serves as the latest installment in the Rise Again Warriors series. It is aimed at the mature reading audience and was penned by author Stacy Eaton. The book follows Sergeant Brady Vanover as he struggles to recover from PTSD after being sent home from deployment after being injured. As he tries to come to terms with the loss of his career with the support of his family, his descent into addiction only serves to make life worse, but with the help of the Rise Again Warrior group he may stand a fighting chance of living a happy life once again. This book quickly established itself as one of those important pieces of literature that shine an understanding and sympathetic light on an important issue that gets swept aside too easily; the trauma experienced by soldiers upon returning home. Brady is depicted with an honesty that is both brutal and heartfelt in equal measure, with author Stacy Eaton pulling no punches about the downward spiral that men in his position so easily find themselves in. This stark realism is contrasted beautifully by the themes of hope and optimism for the future that are present throughout this series, and Mission: Repair continues this tradition by beautifully presenting the idea that a future with peace, happiness, and recovery is possible through effort. Overall, Mission: Repair is a wonderful telling of one man’s story to stop being a soldier and start being a husband and father once again. I recommend this book to all.

  • Absolutely Amazing and Emotional Read

This is book three in The Rise Again Warrior Series and it is Brady and Gracelyn's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Brady and Gracelyn's met in High school and they dated all the way through until graduation and then got married. Years later and Brady and Gracelyn still have a love that is so strong and they have two boy's who they love but it was difficult sometimes as Brady was a sergeant in the air force and Gracelyn kept everything going back home but there love for each other for them through the separation even though it wasn't always easy. Brady was in Afghanistan and due to be on leave soon and he couldn't wait to see his family but suddenly an explosion rocked the base leaving many read and Brady severely injured. This started a spiralling path when Brady was told that his military career was over but when things got to the point of no return he made a call and that was when Rise Again Warrior stepped in to help ,support and be there for not only Brady but his family as well. Omg this book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and I cried so much with everything that was happening and I felt like I was there with them living through it all and feeling all the pain that they were all suffering. I couldn't put this book down and it was so addictive and close to home as my son was in the military and I had to keep turning the pages to see how it would all end and what there outcome would be. Stacy Eaton is an amazing author and writer and the depth of her story's are written with so much care and compassion on a very difficult subjects that is usually swept under the carpet and I can't wait to read more books in this incredible series and I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will definitely not be disappointed but make sure that you have the tissues ready because you are definitely going to need them. I Voluntarily Reviewed a Copy of This Book.
