Lovely short sweet and fun read

This was such a quick fun read about learning, overcoming, families and the love they bring. Seth doesn’t have any children of his own when his nephews becomes orphans he takes them in but is at a lost as what to do with them or how to raise them. He is kind of a stick in the mud making the children stay inside studying not giving them play time. When Miss. Prim comes along she sees how unhappy the children are and puts plans in to place to pull them out letting them be children which helps them get over losing their parents. Seth isn’t happy with, this the children might get hurt or sick they need to learn and get a good education. Lillian shows him how to be a young again making him remember his younger days. It was really fun watching as he learns learning how to play, have fun and find a younger side of his self. The boys are so delighted with Miss. Prim she gives them back a little of the happiness they have lost. You the reader are so going to love watching them as Lillian throws a snowball which leaves Seth speechless. There are so much more fun things that will delight you and keep you laughing right along with the characters. Seth and Lillian are so opposite of each other we the reader can see how well the balance each other out but will they? There is a strong pull of attraction from both side will it be enough or will they find that the other is to much the other way? For a short read it is very fast pace the author puts a lot into a little never leaving you guessing or leaving anything out. I really loved the humor and the challenges they give each other. I loved the baiting and showing that not everything needs to be so stern. These two are both bullhead and stubborn they enjoy matching wits, battling each other to see who comes out ahead. I love Lillian’s sassy cheeky way telling it how it is and not afraid to stand up to Seth. Seth isn’t use to anyone telling him what to do no one has ever had the balls to do so. Lillian is a breath of fresh air that brings so much to him and his nephew’s lives. I really didn’t care too much for Seth at first, my heart really went out to those little boys losing so much. On top of that living with a man that makes them study all the time not letting them be children and have fun. I really loved the ending just wait until you see how Seth comes through bring a smile to us all. The author pulls you in giving you a wonderful read. It is a slow start but well worth the read as the author takes you on a journey of two people learning that differences does not mean there cannot be love. Love will pull you through every time if you only listen, learn and grow together. Reading this gave me lots of smiles and laughs. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot each of us could take a little of this story and use it in our own lives. Most people will enjoy this cute, fun read as they laugh their way through to the end.

    Historical Holiday Romance

Mistletoe, Mischief and the Marquis by Amelia Grey The Heirs' Club of Scoundrels #3.5 I smiled, I felt, I enjoyed and I was thoroughly engaged in reading this delightful holiday romance. Though less than one hundred pages the story was perfection. And, when I had read the last word I was not ready to leave the characters behind. In fact, I now want to find the other books in the series and read each and every one of them! Seth Wythebury, Second Marquis of Wythebury is the guardian of his nephews Fallon and Heron. He takes his responsibilities for the 5 and 7 year olds seriously – even when on a holiday visit to his friend, the Duke of Hurst. His first encounter with Lillian Prim, the duke’s sister, was perfection and set the stage for the rest of the book. Lillian stirred something in Seth by being open, honest and a bit mischievous. Her beauty was not superficial but an intrinsic part of her personality and being. The two were made for and mad about one another BUT would love be enough or were their personalities too dissimilar to create a lasting forever relationship? I loved this story and would like to thank NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC. I would like to thank the author for writing the story because it charmed me, warmed my heart and made me happy today. This is my honest review.

    Loved It!

'Mistletoe, Mischief, and the Marquis' by Amelia Grey is book 3.5 in "The Heirs' Club of Scoundrels" Trilogy. This is the story of Lillian and Seth. This can easily be a standalone book if you haven't read the other books in this series. Also know that this is a Novella and has about 90 pages. Seth has taken on his two nephews after their parents died. Seth loves them but seems to be really strict with them and their health. So when Lillian meets them she quickly find it upsetting that they don't have any fun. So while they boys and Seth are attending a house party with her family she has taking it to make sure they have fun and break from being so serious. This was a really a sweet romance story. I am a big fan of Ms. Grey so this was a nice treat to read. "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."
