  • A wonderful read with all the feels

For me this is Penelope Ward and Romance at its BEST!!!! This is Dax Moody and Wren McCallister’s story and what a tale they have to tell. Every time Wren turns up for her appointments with Dax for his massages things seem to go wrong from her arriving an hour early to an overprotective, angry sheepdog named Winston who seems intent on protecting his owner, whenever this man is in the room she becomes a clumsy, sizzling mess. But Dax has intrigued her and she starts to fall hard and fast for the extremely hot, moody, mysterious man. It takes her three visits to get to know the man, to find out why he is so aloof and mysterious so what happens Dax opens up and reveals his secret…. One click to find out what the future holds for Dax and Wren This book ticked all my boxes, it’s a journey with all the feels, It’s emotional yet entertaining, it’s witty yet sad and it has characters you will fall hard and fast for. I was captivated from the first page and I found it hard to put this book down. I knew this was a very special read from the first few pages and I loved everything about it and that means Moody will certainly be on my best reads of 2022.

  • Loved it

5 star review Moody by Penelope Ward   From the first to the last chapter Penelope Ward held me captive with Moody. Dax Moody and Wren McAllister’s story was an entertaining read that I had trouble putting down when work got in my way. There is absolutely nothing I didn’t like about this story. Wren is a travelling masseuse and from the first appointment their are miss communication and issues that had me snort laughing so much I had tears running down my face. This was a passionate, witty, well written story with some angst and plenty of emotion. The characters were engaging and you cannot help but become invested in the story Ms.Ward wove. Throw in a dog named Winston and it just kept getting better and better. The connection between Moody and Wren was passionate and you could feel the heat jumping off the pages. As they got to know one another you could feel the invisible bonds that wove them together; they really were well suited to one another.Their journey was heart warming and I loved them both. There is equal parts of romance and heat in this steamy story and is another brilliant story from Penelope Ward. It is a little gem that you need to experience for yourself, one click, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

  • I LOVED Dax and Wren's story!

Moody is a slow burn, angst filled, forbidden romance that is so full of feels, my eyes were leaking the whole time I was reading! I think this was the fastest I have finished a book in quite a long time. I couldn’t put it down, Penelope had me hooked like a horse following a carrot and I just HAD to know what was going to happen between Wren and Dax. This story had me experiencing a huge range of emotions. My heart went out to Dax for what he was dealing with, and I loved Wren and her positive outlook on life. The chemistry between these two was apparent from their very first meeting, but as the story progressed and events and secrets unfolded, it was sort of a sweet torture being on the sidelines watching these two people hold themselves back. I really loved the first part of this story. The angst, the push and pull, the restrained feelings. I ate it up like my favorite snack. I wasn’t quite as enamored with the second half, only because it introduced a trope I am not a fan of at all, BUT having said that, this story was unique and beautiful and thought inducing, making me step back and ask myself how I would have handled the situations presented throughout. There were several characters I fell in love with who are absolutely integral to this story and a couple I could have done without, but they all made the story the amazing thing it was, and everything turned out exactly the way it was supposed to, leaving me with happy tears and a goofy grin on my face. This story really felt like classic Penelope. Don’t ask me what I mean by that, because I can’t put it into words, but I really loved it and readers are going to go nuts for Moody!

  • incredible read

I don’t even know where to begin. Afraid to say anything that would give something away. From the first chapter I knew this was going to be an incredible read. Lots of surprises throughout. I never wanted this book to end. Dax may have fought his attraction and feelings for Wren with good reason but when it’s right its right. And when love is concerned, nothing or no one will stand in the way. I cannot say enough about this story. It will grab you from the first chapter and take you on a journey you will never forget. A true 5 star read.

  • Fun, forbidden, secret romance

Wren McCallister is a traveling massage therapist, instead of being a cello performer which she earned her college degree in. When she gets a message appointment with Dax Moody, the last thing she expects is that he is young, gorgeous and very rich. When the message she had been hired for doesn't happen Wren thinks that is the last she will hear from Moody. Surprise, surprise....he hires her again. Wren is surprisingly attracted to Moody and it is very obvious that he is attracted to her. When the attempt of a message ends abruptly, Wren is mortified. When Wren is hired again, she thinks maybe the third time will be a charm. When Wren finally understands the real reason that Dax had hired her, she is thrown for a huge loop! Not knowing how to handle this new normal, Wren finally realizes why it would be wrong to pursue something with Dax even those these two have crazy chemistry. Instead they just spend a lot of time talking. Wren decides to take a job in Paris teaching the cello to try and get away from Dax and all the feelings she has for him. Two and half years later she abruptly comes back. Many things in her life have changed, but some things are still exactly the same. Maybe after all the dust settles, Dax and Wren can actually find their happy ending. I really enjoyed this forbidden, secret romance. Two people with sizzling chemistry, longing to be together. Both Wren and Dax had issues from their past holding them back. Once these two let go of the past, they will find their beautiful, happy ending. I really liked Dax and Wren. They were both flawed characters who deserved happiness and they finally found it. Overall this was an enjoyable story.
