Love and tears in this one

Loved Griff's and Britta's story. For him to grow up with the childhood he and his brother had, it is amazing that he cautiously understood love when he found it. He just didn't know how to deal with it. Britta was his to love forever, if he could just take back his reaction to her assumed betrayal. He works hard to show her that he has grown, learned from his mistakes, but has he? You should definitely grab this one and the first book in the series to find out. You won't be sorry you did.

You Need to read this book!

Wow this book is full of angsty goodness! This book gave me all the feels, I laughed, cried and sighed. Britta and Griff have a hard road to happily ever after but it is so worth the read! I love that this book is all from Griff's point of view which gives the story a different twist. Griff is determined to be a part of Britta and their sons life. He wants to make amends for the past and convince Britta that they can live happily ever after. Britta is a strong single mother who gives Griff a run for his money. This book is angsty but that just makes the end so much sweeter. The angst adds to the story and does not bring it down. If you are looking for a book with depth, romance, humor and redemption then this needs to be your next read for 2018!

You need to read this book

You Need To Read This Book This is the second book in Shayla Blacks More than words series and this was a marvelous addition. Griffin Reed is trying to win back Britta Stone and his son Jamie after leaving them and making not being in their life for three years. With Keeleys helps and his brother back in his wife he tries to get to know his son. Watching the relationship was great between Jamie and Griffin and seeing how much Britta was really trying do what was right for her son but also try To keep her heart safe. Shayla did a great job that you don't want to put this book down and you keep wanting more. Can't wait for Harlows book.

    4.5 GLORIOUS STARS!

4.5 STARS After reading the first book in this series, More Than Want You, I was craving this book like a junkie in need of a fix. After I devoured it, I was left with a feeling of sweet satisfaction. This book is a standalone and you don't have to read More Than Want You to be able to follow the story, but you're going to appreciate this book a whole lot more if you do. And since the first book was freaking amazing, I'm going to HIGHLY suggest you read it first. I'm not going to say too much about the story. It is told strictly from Griffin's POV. It picks up near the end of More Than Want You where Griffin learns that he has a son. He's messed up with Britta in a major way and sets out to make things right. Well, it's a rather steep uphill battle for this infuriating guy so brace yourself for a delightfully intense and intriguing slow burn. The thing I love most about this series, is that like a movie, the story has a soundtrack. Shayla Black has created playlists for both books, and has incorporated the sentiments of the songs into the story and the plot, bringing an extra dimension to the emotions in the story. As someone who LOVES music, I'm declaring this idea is "story planning level: genius."
