  • awesome

This is a fabulous cozy that was funny as well as intriguing. I was surprised by the ending - I could not figure it out until the big reveal. I love the characters although I think a boat (without a body of course) is way better than a diamond! Either way, this is fun and I cannot wait for book #2. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Quaint and interesting mystery

I only recently got introduced to "cozy mysteries" and have found them quite enjoyable. Jacobson writes a great mystery, and it fits right in with the genre perfectly. I like the character Mollie and how her investigative skills (or nosiness) gets her in deep into her own curiosity. It all starts with the gift of an unwanted boat for her anniversary. It's fun, and thrilling, and has that sense of quaint mysteriousness and suspense. Good and enjoyable story.

  • OK, not great

Perhaps the focus on food jars with me, or maybe the protagonist is just a very simple soul... whatever it was, the story reads a bit too much like a comic book and I don't feel I want to know more about any of the characters. Shame, as I'm keen on boating mysteries!

  • Easy and fumny to read

this book is written just like the blog I follow. Full of humor and lovely recognisable for other sailing or non-sailing women.
