  • My Favorite Cozy Series

Every time I read a new Tourist Trap book I am reminded of why it's my favorite cozy series. I just love South Cove, Coffee Books & More, and all the characters. This newest installment had a great mystery and I loved the side stories of the wedding planning etc. The story was top notch as always and I am eager for the next story with Jill, Greg and the rest of South Cove!

  • Real Estate Hustles in Coastal Northern California

Real Estate Hustles in Coastal Northern California This book is part of the Tourist Trap series. Even if you have not read any of these books, this episode stands alone quite well. This is a good cozy mystery with a bunch of things going on in the sidelines. There are weddings, engagements, a hit-and-run, a DUI, and so much more for you to enjoy. This author always writes a fun and interesting story. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.

  • Wedding Bells and Murder

Jill Gardner is the maid of honor for her BFF’s wedding and the bachelorette party is coming up, if Jill can get handle on planning it and get everyone to Vegas. To top it all off, Jill has been waiting years to get the application approved to preserve an historic wall from the early days of South Cove on her property and it was denied. With so much on her plate, Jill doesn’t have time to fight bureaucracy or to figure out why she’s getting so many offers and so much pressure to sell her house. The house isn’t for sale and Jill will figure out what to do about the application after the trip to Vegas. When the rep from the historical society runs into Jill he lets her know it was a mistake and he will get it back on the list for approval…right before he is killed in front of her shop by a hit and run driver. With no intention of investigating the murder, Jill stats to look into a few things, and before she knows it, she and Greg are sharing tidbits on the case. Between the hinted threats over selling the house and some strange attacks on the business, Jill may be in killers cross hairs and needs to proceed with caution. Normally her Aunt Jackie would be her biggest supporter throughout all of this, but she seems to be busy with her beau and is MIA. Can Jill and Greg figure it out before heading to Vegas, or will their luck run out? Lynn Cahoon is one of my must read authors and this series just gets better and better. A great Summer read, or any time really!

  • I liked it.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of MURDER IN WAITING (Book 11 of the Tourist Trap Mysteries) by Lynn Cahoon in exchange for an honest review. Jill Gardner finds herself under stress. Amy, bridezilla and Jill’s best friend, is demanding Jill’s time, attention, and limited organizational skills in preparing for Amy’s upcoming wedding and bachelorette party. Meanwhile, the town’s newsletter just accused Jill’s business of being the sole reason for a significant increase in the town’s budget and resulting taxes to the local businesses. Jill’s bookstore then comes under repeated attack by vandals while land developers and their agents start to pressure Jill to sell her home. At about the same time as the South Cove Heritage Society rejects Jill’s application to have the mission wall on her property investigated to see if it has historical significance, a pushy travel guide writer begins badgering Jill about making the wall a tourist attraction. When someone murders a heritage society expert right in front of Jill, she calls shenanigans. It seems like the real estate problems must be related. Jill needs to conquer her land and business woes, so she can support Amy in her upcoming nuptials. Meanwhile, this busyness caused by all the nasty business causes some friction between Jill and her lover. I enjoyed this book and like the series. Lynn Cahoon continues to provide the reader with all of the drama and intrigue of small town politics and society, murder, and, in this case, big business. I recommend this book to fans of the series. I recommend the series to fans of cozy mysteries featuring murder, small towns, bookstores, coffee shops, historic homes, quirky personalities, elder relatives with big personalities, small businesses, tourists, and loyal pets. #MurderinWaiting #NetGalley
