  • Steamy pride and prejudice variation.

Mixing magic into a steamy read made a nerve-wracking combination. Really! The angst was nigh on unbearable but as reading with your eyes closed does not work that well and my nails were newly polished, I had to resort to lip-biting and I am sure I drew blood... As you probably have surmised, this is not for the faint-hearted. The world of the alpha, beta and omega means domination and surrender in the utmost sense of the word. Elizabeth was at Netherfield, tending an ill Jane when she had a disturbing yet pleasurable encounter with Mr Darcy in the library. His information and her reactions to him make her flee Netherfield, straight into the arms of a predator and this part was excruciatingly angsty. It really made my heart pound furiously... Suffering through, did make the resolution all the more sweet though and in the end, I absolutely loved it! Would not mind if this turned in to a serie. Recommend for those who dare...

  • A fun smutty fanfiction of Pride and Prejudice

Basically a smutty fanfiction of Pride and Prejudice, I knew what I was getting into when I bought this book (yes, I fell for a sale sign - what can I say). I was intrigued by Omegaverse tag and how it would fit into a Pride and Prejudice 'variation. Generally, this has nothing to do with original but the synopsis pretty much tell you that. This has none of the themes of the original and basically uses the names of the characters and your / my love for them to tell a smutty story. I have nothing against this to be honest - this is the basic premise of fanfiction. Taking a story or piece of media and extrapolating it. These riffs cannot exist without the original as the original sets the tone and context. This book, being so short, is especially so. It starts in the middle of the original novel and references things like the Mereton assembly which will make no sense to readers who read this without the original. This book basically cost me the same as my cup of Starbucks coffee and like that, it was a shot in the arm and was over very quickly. I enjoyed it but it all honestly I can't give it a much higher rating. There is fanfiction of similar context, quality and fandom available for free. If I had found this on or Archives of Our Own I would have loved this. Since I had to buy this I give a solid 3 stars but can't give it my stamp of love.
