    A little long winded

Well done and very interesting but perhaps could have used a good editor. Particularly in the end - it seemed to never end. In spite of that it was very informative and a good depiction of the history through fiction.

    My Dear Hamilton

Loved it. Enjoyed the back story of the Schuyler and Hamilton families and reading about the contributions of Alexander to the founding of the country. It was interesting to read how the politics of yesteryear were as cutthroat as today and that all the forefathers weren't as dedicated to seeing the fledgling country survive.

    OH MY!!!!!! Loved Eliza's perspective.

I wish there were more books like this one and America's First Daughter. As home school parent I struggle to engage my 17 year old when it comes to history. Eliza's story did just that. He was captivated. I found him searching names that were mentioned within the pages. I caught him going ahead of his lesson plans. He would come out of his room wanting to talk about what was happening. He engaged his dad and older brother in conversations. I can't remember the last time that happened. I can't thank the authors enough for a fun week in history class.

    Eliza

I enjoyed this book very much. I did not know alot about American history and this gave a great perspective from Eliza's point of view.
