  • A fantastic, entertaining start!

The first book in the new hockey series by the authors is off to a fantastic start with My Lucky #13. It is Aiden Drakes book and his story is truly wonderful. He’s a genuine person with a heart of gold and goes after what he wants. And he wants Saige! However, there is someone standing in his way and isnt that a sticky situation indeed. Nevertheless he is not without figuring out how to be near her. When she becomes his social media manager, how will she resist his charm, especially when travelling with him! I loved everything about this book, it was quite entertaining! I had a constant smile on my face and I really think those two are meant to be. However what happens when his team doesn’t win? Does Aiden have to make a choice? Its definitely not easy and sometimes when something happens that makes you see what really matters …all you can do is make sure you know who is important in life! Loved it! Looking forward to reading more of the series!

  • Heartfelt feels. Amazing chemistry

Is there any trope that Piper Rayne cannot do perfectly? I don't think so! My Lucky #13 was full of amazing feels and sizzling hot chemistry with the best kind of sports romance brilliance. I laughed. I swooned. I chewed my nails with anticipation. This story is overflowing with extremely lovable characters and too good story telling. I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

  • Great start to the series

5 Star Review My Lucky #13 (Hockey Hotties #1) by Piper Rayne I was so excited when I learnt that Piper Rayne were writing a hockey series. If My Lucky #13 is anything to go by, then they have another winning series on their hands. This is Aiden and Saige’s story and from the first chapter to the last I was hooked on the story that the authors wove. Aiden is having issues and is not at the top of his game, in fact he is in danger of being traded if he doesn’t get his mojo back ASAP. Unlike most hockey players he doesn't believe in superstitions. However meeting Saige, at a party he knows she should be off limits and yet he cannot help but be drawn to her. Could Saige be the lucky charm he never knew he needed? There were laugh out loud moments, witty banter, plenty of steam and characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in. The camaraderie between Aiden and his teammates added an additional layer to my enjoyment. I really like Aiden and Saige, both separately and as a couple and I could easily see myself as friends with Saige. This was a fun, entertaining read and one I have no hesitation in recommending.

  • So my jam!

My Lucky #13 was one of my most anticipated reads this year since it pairs three of my favorite things: Piper Rayne, sports romance and hockey. It did not disappoint! We first met Aiden and Saige in the novella Countdown to a Kiss, where they attended the same New Year's Eve party and the evening ended with Saige throwing a glass of white wine in Aiden's face. While you don't have to read the novella before starting this book, it will only add to your enjoyment. Aiden is the Captain of the Florida Fury hockey team and he's currently in a scoring slump. Management isn't happy with him and with the trade deadline looming, he's got to pull himself out of it or he likely will be calling somewhere else home. In the first game following New Year's, he ends up scoring a hat trick. For a player who didn't believe in superstitions, should he reconsider? Saige is the owner of a social media company where she helps people manage their online presence. She's working with quite a few athletes and when she first meets Aiden, it's due to her date, Joran, who happens to be his agent. The one thing she knows is she doesn't want to be involved with anymore athletes after her last relationship ended in disaster. Aiden decides he needs to seek Saige out to have more wine thrown at him. If this works and he keeps scoring, will she be willing to keep this up before every game? Aiden is more attracted to Saige now than he was at the party, but knowing she's involved with his agent, he'd never make a move, but he's finding it harder and harder as they spend more time together. And, even if she was available, will she soften her stance on dating an athlete? I enjoyed everything about this book. I am a sucker for a sports romance and when it's hockey, it just sweetens the pot. I loved that Aiden was a gentleman and bided his time and was respectful to both Saige and Joran. This was a slow burn type of romance and I appreciated it. I'm intrigued by the other teammates and I'm looking forward to what is going to be coming down the pike. A winning start to this new series!

  • "Every day for the rest of my life"

"Every day for the rest of my life" *sigh * (I'm grinning from ear to ear at the moment) Aiden and Saige brought all the feels 🥰 and warm fuzzies Aiden is so laid back despite being a sports icon. He has this good old boy vibe to him - He doesn't put himself above others. He has a heart of gold. He is a romantic at heart. Saige is ... not really a pessimist but she puts a lot of energy into preventing the inevitable It was fun to watch her slow capitulation These two were so good together If you want a light-hearted romance that will have you smiling and experience multiple 'melt your heart' moments this is definitely it 💖 I want Tedi's story she was such a blast
