  • My Rogue, My Ruin

This is a real different book at the start as this book has a duo of authors. I think this is a cute way to go. I like it. Brynn has a problem with breathing. She sneaks away to ride as a boy that would kill her mother. She meets Archer, a Marquess, an old child friend. Eloise is a ward of the Duke but is really his daughter. There is so much action in this story. There is a bandit taking money and jewels to give those people who need help. He doesn't use force. Now someone is a mimic but he uses force to take the jewelry and keeps it. Archer is trying to stop and Brynn will make sure she helps too. There is a Ball at Archer's home for his father and later he is found dead in a salon. This story line runs all over the place and everyone seems to be the murderer. The end is not even what I expected. I liked this story. I needed tissues. I hope you would check this out. You should read to see how it ends. I have volunteered to read and review this book.

  • Surprisingly Good

I had never read any books by authors Amalie Howard or Angie Morgan before reading this work co-written by them. Surprisingly, it was a very good read. I became enthralled with the story taking place. The characters and dialogue were very good. The lead characters, Archer and Brynn, didn’t hit it off at the beginning as he is “Hawk” the bandit. He stops and robs the coach Brynn and her parents are traveling in to a house party at his parents’ home. Later on, Brynn realizes that he is the bandit. There is a blackmailer involved, who is later a murderer. The romance developing between Brynn and Archer is sweet and sensual. He is cold and distant but so seductive. A lot of secrets are eventually revealed and when the murderer is finally revealed it is a complete surprise. I liked this book more than I thought I would and gladly rate it 4 -4 ½ stars with a heat level of 3 ½ to 4.
