    Loved it!

I absolutely loved this book!! It's the second in the Pushing Limits series but easily read standalone. The writing is excellent, the storyline is fresh, and the characters just grabbed my heart. I really felt for Callie living with the burden of secrecy her sister left her with but my heart went to Jared who was living with the knowledge that his ex- girlfriend had aborted their child then finds out she lied and he has a son that is now 4 years old. When Callie literally bumps into Jared in the grocery store she knows the truth needs to come out but she's not sure she's brave enough to do it. Logan is all the family she has left and the fear of losing him is intense. I thought the author wrote this story with the compassion and gentle care for Logan that I wish we saw more frequently in real life. Put this one on the must read list! I highly recommend it.

    Fantastic series addition

I usually don't like these stories that start with a lie, but Lindenblatt handles it really well. I totally understand where both parities are coming from and feel for them being such a horrible situation. Callie is doing the best she can in a difficult situation and she's doing it like a trooper.. She obviously loves Logan and works hard to give both of them a good life. For having lost almost everything, she's got great spirit and that shines through. Very appealing for both us ... and Jared. Jared has a pretty good head on his shoulders for an up and coming rock star, with groupies and fans. He's got a supportive group of friends and a loving family, which helps explain a lot. Running into his old friend and her son has him looking for a chance to reconnect. Only he has no idea what that sets into motion. The first part of the story involves Callie and Jared meeting again after losing touch for a few years and Callie trying to keep her secret. But of course it doesn't stay hidden long and that's where everything really takes off. There's a lot of conflicting emotion early on but nothing like the quagmire they find themselves in afterward. They are all over the place and for some seriously good reasons. Emotion packed, with a mix of humor and sizzle, My Song For You will grab you by the heart and not let go until you hit the very last page. HIGHLY recommended read!!

My first book by this author and my god have I been missing out! Beautiful story.. sucked me in from page one! Callie has been raising her sister's son as her own since the tragic accident that claimed her life, along with both of Callie's parents. Jared has been out living his life, becoming the famous musician Callie always knew he could be, and the reason behind her sister's decision to never tell Jared about his son. After running into each other for the first time in years, suddenly Jared is back in Callie's life and her son's secret is no longer safe. But the more time they spend together the less they can deny their feelings for each other, nor the secret looming over them.... My heart broke for each of them over and over again.. This story was beautiful, heart-wrenching and full of hope. HIGHLY recommended read and I'll surely be checking out more from this author!!

I wish I could say I really loved this story.

My Song for You is the second book in the Pushing Limits series but you don’t need to have read that book to enjoy this one. Each of the stories stands alone with no problem. When I saw this book available on NetGalley the blurb got my attention right away. Secret baby, check; former friends to lovers, check – these are two of my favorite romance tropes. Because I like reading series in order I decided to look for book 1, This One Moment, and maybe give it a try. It was on sale for 99 cents so I picked up a copy and read it before I read My Song for You. I’ve done a separate 3 star review for that story. Jared is the lead guitar player for Pushing Limits. When his friend with benefits (FWB) turned up pregnant a few years ago he was prepared to give it up and become a father. However he wasn’t given that chance when his FWB told him later that she had an abortion. From the books blurb we pretty much know that his FWB lied about the abortion but there’s a lot more to the story of how his FWB’s sister, Callie, came to be taking care of his son. Callie has had a rough time of it the last few years. She has given up a lot to take care of baby Logan. When she bumps into her sister’s FWB, Jared she panics and doesn’t want him to find out the secret she’s been keeping. She also realizes that the crush she had on Jared when they were kids has never gone completely away. I read a lot of New Adult stories and, much to my surprise, I really enjoy most of them. The proliferation of the “F” word doesn’t bother me; neither does the use of a lot of swearing. I’ve also enjoyed reading other “rock star” books so it’s hard for me to put my finger on why I didn’t love this one. I have to think that it must be the author’s style. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with her writing; just that I think it’s not really for me. I’m writing this review concurrent with writing one for This One Moment so I’m not basing my feelings on just this one book and some of my words from that review will be repeated. I do have to say that I liked My Song for You more than I liked This One Moment. I don’t know if this is because I got used to the author’s writing style or if I just liked the story better; probably a bit of both. The cast of secondary characters seemed to be given a bit more attention in this book and that added to my enjoyment of the story. While My Song for You held my attention more than This One Moment neither of them had my emotions involved too much. For me this is the surest sign that a book wasn’t a good fit for me. I’ve come to the conclusion that this series probably isn’t one that I’ll read more of. From what I see on the author’s website it looks like a total of 5 books are planned with the next one being I Need You Tonight which is about Mason Dell; readers who are enjoying this series should be happy about that. Like I said in my review for This One Moment, I think my feelings about this series really points out that not all readers are going to like all authors, even if the writing is good. good one

My song for you is second story from Pushing limits series. It is another great story with interesting plot and well develop characters. In this one guitarist Jared falls in love in his teenager friend Callie. But she has a secret, a boy, his boy. It is interesting how story develops. Callie is a strong independed woman who is alone trying to survive. Unexpectedly in her life comes bad-ass, famous rocker with a million fans mostly women. Although the fame he is easy going and simple and changes Callies life in the second. I loved how he treated Logan from the start. Their chemistry is hot and sex scenes really good. A good one. *ARC provided by Netgalley and author in exchange for an honest review
