    My Way - Paul Anka

A good read about a very talented man that lived some great experiences starting at a young age. Interesting history of the music business and the entertainers he hung around with. Very much worth a read especially the Vegas days. The downside was that Paul would repeat himself often in passages throughout the book. It was like deja-vu because I could have sworn he just said the same thing a few pages before. You almost get the feeling that the book wasn't reviewed properly before being published.

This should have been a far better read than it actually was. Mr. Anka has been at the epicentre of celebrity for many decades and has many, many insights to share about the rich and famous. Some of his vignettes are very revealing and at times shocking. The style of writing (I believe) gets in the way of believability and the reader is left thinking that there is a bending of the truth or a puffing up of the author's importance tangental to these events. The writing throughout this book is unfortunately very sophmoric with few seguays that leaving one wondering what happened to the balance of a particular story and how did we get in to this one? All in all a disappointing read punctuated with some titillating revelations but not enough to prompt a recommendation to read.
