    One man's war.

A great read that accurately portrays the close bonds and friendships that are formed during service. The disdain shown for those not serving in the field is real.

    Good account by a solder

I enjoyed hearing firsthand the experiences of a foot soldier. The contrast between gungho lifers and draftees can be felt in reading thisaccount.

    Great

A very realistic memoir of a young man shoved into the deep end. As an ex NCO myself, his dealing with incompetent officers rings true

    Nam Sense

A look at the Vietnam War from the perspective of a soldier who was there, with a little history, a little humour and a little bit to make you think. This was a good read for a Canadian who was only 14 and not very well informed at the time.

    Excellent Read!

This book wasn’t a normal autobiography, the horrors he saw and the suffering he experienced is real. But the way the author was able find comic relief in certain situations was great. I found myself having numerous good laughs throughout. Great read!
