    Very enjoyable

This is a terrific book. Very entertaining with lots of lovable characters. Nell is easy to relate to as she not only has a mystery to solve but a mother and 3 daughters to sort out! A fun read.

    ENTERTAINING

I enjoyed this book a lot. It was great weekend reading when you just want something entertaining and funny to read. I am now going to read some more about Nell and her family.

    okay

i find nell nosy than a normal person should be and with her i think its more just finding worthy after her husband left, its a bit predictable because when berry saw someone in front of the police station i thought right away its leon. i like the characters of her daughters and overall its an OKay read.

    Nefarious Doings

Really enjoyed this book. It was great to read an Australian murder mystery especially one with tongue firmly in cheek. The characters were smart, warm and engaging. Good fun

    A fun read

This is a very east-to-read whodunit which has overtones of an Australian 'Midsomer Murders'. Ilsa Evans's main character Nell Forrest is a middle-aged mother of five daughters whose husband has recently left her for a younger woman. She resides in the same small country town in Victoria as her mother, a feisty character who is the subject of many an amusing comment relating to mother-daughter dynamics. The same is also true for her relationships with her younger daughters who continue to reside in the family home with her. I would recommend for those who like their murder mysteries on the not-so-serious side. Definitely not for those who enjoy forensically detailed descriptions of police investigative procedure or expert witness findings.
