  • Never Doubt a Duke indeed

Never Doubt a Duke is the first book in the Fortune's Brides Series, written by Regina Scott. This series starts with Jane Kimball, recent widow, finding herself in a precarious situation. Luckily, she's aided by the formidable Meredith Thorn, owner of the Fortune Employment Agency, who secures her a position as governess for the three young daughters of the Duke of Wey. The Duke, Alaric, is also a widow and, as per the instructions of his late wife, seldomly visits the schoolroom, leaving the education of his daughters solely to his mother. But all this is about to change after the visit of Miss Thorn and Mrs. Kimball. I loved this book, what a great and exciting way to start a series. The book is beautifully written, the characters are all so interesting. I loved the little mysteries that surrounded the main story, it made for a very entertaining distraction while reading this one. Jane is certainly worth her main character status and her wit knows no boundaries. Just one side note, I would have loved to see a bit more sizzle between Alaric and Jane ;) Can't wait to read the rest of the series!

    Thanks for your feedback!
