    Uncanny Horror Novel

Night Film is an uncanny psychological thriller that delves into the secretive world of underground filmmaker Stanislas Cordova to explore the relationship between the constructs of truth and fantasy. I enjoyed the transmedia element of this book - scattered throughout are newspaper and website mockups that function as "evidence" in the case, and there's a cool Night Film decoder app that unlocks secret content. Night Film delivered a strong, strange story that kept me eagerly reading from start to finish.

    Dense, scary story

This was an excellent and unusual thriller. Pessl creates her fictitious filmmaker so completely, you'll find yourself looking him up on IMDB just to make sure he's not real. Worth downloading the free Night Film app to unlock bonus content you'll find as you read (but not necessary to enjoy the story).

    Night Film

Dark, suspense-filled and thematically full of easter eggs. Really enjoyed it.

    Vastly Complex & Sadly Unsatisying

This is a complicated story, woven by the author like a spider web, taking the reader on a wild and sometimes petrifying. Sadly, the ending left me highly unsatisfied. I feel the story should have ended in NYC or the epilogue should have come from the mind of the central character.
