  • I love this family!

I love this family! Quirky. Fun. Entertaining. Loyal. I could go on and on. But having read the other siblings and extended family stories, Maura MacGregor gets her turn. The youngest of Murdoch and Cait MacGregor children with older twin brothers Rory and Bruce, Maura is the responsible one. Her and Bruce run the Hotel Motel. Love the plot twist at the end. The fact she meets Dhampir Curtis Jefferson is romantic. I really enjoyed learning Curtis’s genealogy and his history. The happy ever after is beautiful and leaves a feel good residue. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Now we get Maura MacGregor's story.

This is Book #9 in the Warlocks MacGregor series. And this involves time travel, vampires, backward marching ghosts, and the dhampir love interest by the name of Curtis Jefferson. Throw in all the crazy MacGregor relatives (of course Uncle Raibeart makes his inimitable appearance) and this reader had a fast paced read with its HEA but only after grandpappy vampire king Buden made his attempted attacks of revenge on Curtis and all the concerned members of the MacGregor family. I loved this author's kindhearted portrayal of Raibeart and his prophetic connection with Abigail in this story. Promises of more to come show up at this story's ending. This is my review for the ARC I got via Booksprout.he Warlocks MacGregor series.

  • Impossible to put down

A race against time, trips into the post Civil War Mississipi, a great love story that transcends everything. When I say that the book is impossible to put down, I mean it (and rue the time I had to devote to real life and sleep because I only wanted to read and read some more until the end). I knew that there was more than met the eye with Curtis Jefferson (whom we have met, albeit briefly, in previous books), but this was way beyond what I thought about the dhampir who owns the Crimson Tavern (who makes the best tater tot nachos in all of Green Vallis), a place that the MacGregors love to visit when hunger strikes them. His falling deeply in love with Maura MacGregor, motel owner in this time, is the icing on the cake. She is one special lady indeed! With Warlocks, a dhampir, ghosts, and vampires, this combines to make of Night Magick the darkest book of the series, with compelling action, yes, but also with laughs and mischief (it's the Warlocks MacGregor, after all), fear, heat, and a lot of love. Talking about the MacGregors and special, I knew that Raibeart was also more than the crazy uncle who likes to run around naked in town when he's had a little too much to drink! I would give more than five stars if I could, because it really is all that!

  • Love is Never Easy With a MacGregor!

Follow Maura MacGregor and Curtis Jefferson on a truly epic journey to love! This book has it all! Curtis is a dhampir, half vampire/half human. He is trying to make a life for himself in Green Vallis away from his evil sire, Buford. Maura finds him after he has been seriously wounded by a vampire sent by his sire to bring him home. Through a weird series of events they are transported back in time to the Civil War before his grandmother was born. To say Maura and Curtis are a little confused is putting it mildly! This book will keep you reading into the wee hours of the night! There are lots of twists and turns, but the ending is awesome! Don’t miss it! • Loved it!

Loved it!! All the characters have a different type of quirkiness or personality that is intriguing. The author has a way of describing things that brings you into the story with them. Kilts. I can not wait to read about the quirkiest of them all next!
