    Night School

Lee Child does it again! A great tale, with lots of suspense, and twists of plot, to keep one glued to the story. The detail of military background is amazing, as is usual with the Jack Reacher series. I have read all of them now, and enjoyed this as one of the best!

    Best Jack Reacher novel

Night School was an amazing and awesome read. Lee Child really knocked one out of the park. Jack Reacher is such a cool character.

    Reacher's 35 and an MP

Going back in time, we find Reacher is 35, still in the army as an MP and has just successfully completed an assignment when he is sent to Night School to further his training. Who has ever heard of Night School? Reacher's classmates include Casey Waterman of the FBI and John White of the CIA. All three students are fresh off a successful assignment making them clear of being involved in a serious leak of information. Chasing an unknown item leads to Germany and requires thinking outside the norm but within military protocol. An AWOL soldier, lost inventory, old bombs, new enemies that we now know as extremists and terrorists combine to keep the pace moving quickly. Reacher's active sex life seems to be a recent development in this character since Tom Cruise picked up this series. I find the sex is not necessary to the novel and detracts from the original character's 6'6", 220+lb, loaner attributes. None of which fit in with Tom Cruise. So sad! I wish the author had started the story with a year date. It was hard to figure out just when this was set and what to expect for technologies that the character would have had access to based on the year involved. 4 1/2 out of 5.

    Night school

Tom Cruise is ridiculously mis-cast, only a Liam Neilson or even better a young Clint Eastwood could portray the physical presence Lee Child creates for his compelling, charismatic Jack Reacher character
