    Great book!

I liked the book because I like science fiction. I have read all of Asimov's foundation novels and most of his robot stories as well. I thought 'Nightfall' a very well written novel and the effect a once in two thousand year eclipse of a sun had on the planet's inhabitants well handled. To show this effect would have made us, the readers wonder how we would have approached it any differently from what the inhabitants of Kalgash have experienced. A very well written novel to make the reader think more about ourselves as part of a much greater universe.

    Nightfall

Great book, classic I. Asimov with a touch of R. Silverberg. Good characters and nice flow and pace of the story. Ending is the weak point but still satisfying.

Imagine constant daytime until one day it gets dar

I read this in paper several years ago. A truly unique scenario. Not my favorite Asimov collaboration, but good. Will read again.

    Imagination at its best!

This is a triumph of imagination. Again, Asimov presents a scenario of an event, due to its 2000-year occurance, "lost in history", generating legends throughout history to explain a rare natural event. Not only is it a captivating tale, it is a commentary on our human lives and history. Sublime!
