    No Game for a Dame

What could a dame achieve as a private detective? This one was smart, very smart, and had plenty of good, solid connections in the local constabulary. But not many men thought a woman could have brains and use them, so she had to work doubly hard to crack the problem and solve the mysterious thefts which were cropping up all around the city.

I'm not a big mystery lover, so this book did not reel me in. I had a hard time with all the characters.
