  • A must read

This engaging story is hard to put down. It deals with a topic that most will stay away from, physical abuse. The author does a great job of helping the reader understand what the character went through both physically and emotionally, without going into details that could cause trauma if the reader has experienced abuse of their own. The main characters come alive on the page, the story moves at a just the right pace and the way God moves in their lives is believable. I’d recommend this book to everyone.

  • A really good book

I really enjoyed this book. The author does a really good job of dealing with child abuse and how it affects people all through their lives. But, she also gives hope for those that deal with it. The main characters, Ethne and Daniel, are very well developed and very lifelike. I just fell in love with them. It's a book that grabs you and pulls you right into it. I highly recommend it. I was given a copy of the book from the author, but this review is my own opinion.

  • Wonderful Book

I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. A well written book by Carol James. I truly enjoyed the inspirational aspect of the book. Both main characters – Ethne O’Connor and Daniel Spencer have had abusive backgrounds. She has decided never to marry so she can be sure not to pass on the bend toward abuse, but things begin to change when she meets Daniel. She has to learn to trust and forgive. The issues are very well addressed in the plot, and the author did a great job with the storyline. I would highly recommend reading it.
