    No Turning Back

Sinister. One of those books you really can't put down. Kept me guessing right till the end. Definitely did not see the twist at the end coming at all. Loved it.

    Okay

Not bad but plot really over the top although still held my interest. Please drop the eyelashes whether fluttering soaking etc etc makes the book front worthy and it is better than that.

    Fair plot, annoying prose

The plot of this story was ok if a little predictable. What irritated me more was the author's overuse of certain phrases; "tears streaming down her face", "his/her face softened", "she slumped against the wall" over and over again, and a not very believable police detective character. Somewhat 'novel by numbers' if you will, and I found myself getting annoyed with the author's lack of description. I guess having read Sophie Hannah's wonderful Culver Valley series back to back there was a lot to live up to!
