    Love is real

This is the 3rd book in the Cedar Ridge series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and full understanding, please read in order. Jacob returns like the prodigal son, only to find there is someone right outside his door who would rather be left alone herself. Sophie has wounds that go deep and keep her from opening up, much like he does. They truly are a set match. Sophie and Jacob both have secrets and pain that they hide from the world. Right from the start, they have trouble hiding their feelings for each other. Can someone who relies only on themselves ever learn to lean on another person? They both need to meet halfway to make this relationship real. Truly another fabulous book by the amazing author! The characters are complex. The sexy heat is a strong slow burn right from the beginning. The other characters we love from this series are here for comic relief. It is a well written story with heat and love. ***This ARC copy was given from Netgalley and its publishers in exchange for an honest review.

    story I've been waiting for

I love Sophie but I still get a little tired of his flip-flopping emotions – luckily Jacob has a lot more patience with her than I do :) Other than that though she’s great. I understand where she’s coming from, with her ex and her family, and it makes her issues believable. I love how saucy she is and how she’s willing to give Jacob heck but still be there for him when he needs it. I’ve been anxious to get to Jacob’s story, mainly because he’s the unknown Kincaid (although Kenna gives him a run for his money there :) ). Shalvis does a good job of showing his conflicting emotions over his choices and how the past decade without his family, plus everything that he’s seen and done, has impacted him. I love watching him work his way back to a happy place with the rest of the siblings. And I adore his & Hud’s relationship with their mom. It’s both sweet and fun and I love them all together. Once again Shalvis delivers a winner and I can’t wait to see where she goes next. (Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review)

    All kinds of wonderful

This book was all kinds of wonderful! I can honestly say that I loved it and was rooting for Sophie and Jacob from the very start. This story really had a little bit of everything that I like to see in a romance novel and I found myself feeling perfectly content as I turned the pages. This is the third book in the Cedar Ridge series but each book in the series works perfectly well as a stand alone novel. This is only the second book by Jill Shalvis that I have read but I am quickly becoming a huge fan. The characters in this book were wonderful. Sophie had a lot of spunk and I just loved her immediately. She is exactly what comes to mind when you think of a fiery redhead. Life has not been exactly kind to Sophie but she is making the most of what she has left. She is living on a boat that was her ex-husband's prize possession. He loved the boat while Sophie hates it. She is broke and working temp jobs to support herself. Jacob is on leave from the military. He left Cedar Ridge and his family 9 years ago. He hasn't seen any of his siblings in that time including his identical twin, Hud. He has a lot of relationships to work to repair. When he comes across Sophie's boat moored at his cabin's dock, he is instantly drawn to her. I loved so much about Jacob. He was honest and willing to do what it takes to make things right again. He has been through a lot during his time in the service and has come out stronger in many ways. The chemistry between Sophie and Jacob was amazing. They really are a wonderful couple. I liked the fact that the barriers to their relationship were really pretty minor. The main thing that this pair had to do was learn to trust each other and themselves. They really had to work together to make things work since they both had their own set of barriers. I loved how their emotions came across in the story in the description of small things like how they looked at each other. I would highly recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. This is a completely believable, entertaining, and sexy story filled with wonderful characters. I plan to read more from Jill Shalvis very soon starting with the second book in this series, My Kind of Wonderful, because I really want to read Hudson's story as soon as possible. I received an advance reader edition of this book from Forever Grand Central Publishing via NetGalley for the purpose of providing an honest review.

    Best in the series

Nobody But You by Jill Shalvis Cedar Ridge #3 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I wish I had been able to just sit down and devour this book in one sitting! Sadly, I was super busy and had to just sneak bits here and there.. but I was longing to get back to it every chance I got! I loved the sparks between Jacob and Sophie right from their first meet. I was unsure how I would like Jacob's story, as he is only mentioned in the other two books. You don't get to meet him, which is often what draws me to the other books in the series; the fact that I love the secondary characters so much. Jacob, honestly didn't sound all that appealing.. His twin brother hadn't heard from him for a long time. (He just leaves and joins the military after an argument.) Yes, he's paid his share of the costs to care for their mother, but that long with no contact because of a somewhat childish fight.. seems selfish. So it was surprising to me, how fast I ended up liking him. The way he falls, and falls hard for Sophie is awesome. I laughed out loud more than once and Sophie, wow, was she ever a fantastic multitasker! She was strong and self-sufficient. I enjoyed her rebukes to Jacob and the fact that she couldn't resist him. I was a teeny bit disappointed that it looks like maybe Kenna won't get her own book... but there were some great little parts in this story with her, so I guess that will have to do for now! This book fully kept me wanting to read and it's fair to say it was my favourite of the series! If you haven't visited Cedar Ridge... You should! ** I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review **
