    A beautiful beginning

When you've been hiding in Alaska for 10 years, you may need to fight for your happy ever after. This is a beautiful story of holding back, of hiding your true nature and finally of acceptance. No matter who you love, no matter who you are, this beautiful family will love you and show you the love you deserve. Just don't mess up. A beautiful start to what's going to be a beautiful series

    Great ménage

This ménage was different than others I've read. It included the two men together as well as both men on the woman and mostly all three at one time. The story line was good, could have been longer with more development of other characters and more plot line.

    Worth your time

Two cowboys, one cowgirl, and romance? That's the start of Mari Carr's and Jayne Rylon's Northern Exposure, book one of their series The Compass Brothers and set on the fictional Compass Ranch in Wyoming. Silas is a deliciously grumpy cowboy with exotic sexual tastes who's first time giving in to passion is witnessed by the one girl he's always wanted. Fearing he's driven her away and lost her forever, Silas hits the road, returning only after a terrible accident leaves him with no place else to go. No one is more surprised than Silas when he discovers that home is exactly where his heart always was. It's an engaging book with a great story and loads of tension, both sexual and otherwise. There's a great buildup to an HEA that is happy but you can tell that these lovers have a struggle ahead of them, a realistic approach to a romance story that I really like. There's no fairy tale here, just a raw, consuming love that all parties must work for. Menage relationships are difficult to write and make believable, but Mari Carr and Jayne Rylon succeed with Northern Exposure. It's a real page turner. And fortunately, there are sequels for the other points on the compass featuring Silas' brothers as well as their children. All are equally worthy of a read. This one is worth your time.
