  • I loved this book. The storytelling was excellent, and I felt like I had been taken on a little adventure myself. Only one other writer takes me with them on their journey thru their story, and he is related. Both father and son seem to have mastered the English language, and put good use to adjectives, verbs and nouns. Keep 'em coming.

  • Awesome!

He gets better with each book. This was an awesome story and I eagerly await his next book. The son is well out of his father's shadow and his light burns brightly.

  • A very exciting but often disturbing read. Joe Hill's characters are vividly depicted and riveting. This book was impossible to put down and I found myself reading until the wee hours of the morning dying to find out what would happen next between Victoria and Charlie. Highly recommended!

  • Grippin g novel from start to finish. A wonderful talent who is carrying on a great tradition of eerie, macabre and unique storytelling exploring the dark side of humanity, while giving hope that the goodness will Triumph!

  • This is an incredibly detailed story that feels like Joe Hill's ode to his father Stephen King's writing style. It is a creepy, unsettling story with a very satisfying ending. The only flaw I see in it is that sometimes it's almost too detailed and certain sections in the middle drag a little bit. Still, this is a great macabre novel which will make you see Christmas in a whole new light!
