    Great Book!

This book is a must-read! I keep it by my bed as a reference tool, right next to my Bible. Whenever I need a little help figuring out my own toxic relationship with others I read the highlighted areas which are therapeutic for me. The author not only took us down roads of her past relationships but also highlighted the lessons learned from those experiences. Once I started reading, I was not able to put it down. I had many emotions reading Not a Blueprint: It's the shoe prints that matter, but the biggest takeaway was to listen to your children and how toxic diseases can even effect our families if we don't pay attention. I applaud Nina Norstom for sharing her story with the world in an effort to help others who may be going through the same thing.

    Toxic Relationships and Hope

Excellent read..captured my attention right away and felt as if vicariously being carried along with the author on her adventures and in her toxic relationships. Great for any audience and especially speaks to fact we are not alone, we all lead similar journeys with Toxicity, but there is hope. Nina Norstrom shows her faith and inspires others to look for the positive, never give up, and keep the faith no matter what Toxicity that is all around you!

Great title, I did not know what was coming!

This Author touched my heart with her story. While reading this book , I felt that I was there by her side, watching Nina to grow up from "daddy's girl" to a teenager, going on a date, and than becoming a mother. Her writing style kept me alert. I wanted to finish the book on one sitting to see what would happen at the end. As a mother, I could so relate to the pain, and heart ache of a mother trying to provide healthy home environment for her child. Yet, we can not protect our children from disappointments, evil people, illnesses, and life! But as parents, we are expected to be strong. Like the Author, we are just human with our own goals, needs and desires. I admire the fact, that Nina did not settle for less, she did her best to move on, under the circumstances she was given. I feel that this book helped me in my healing process from a very difficult mother daughter relationship. I was able to let my self to grieve and to let go of my own feelings. and anger towards life! This is a great story for anyone who has ever loved and lost. Thank you for sharing your journey.

    loved it!

The choices we make take us down the path that becomes our life journey. Nina points out we don't always understand why we make the choices we do or understand the outcomes that prevail. The choices others make intersect with our own and leave us often floundering and bewildered -even devastated. Our biggest choice is about the choices. Will we learn to live joyously in them despite bitterness and hardship? To emerge triumphant through the death of a child and the loss of others we love is the story here and the reason I love this book.
