    Debut Brilliance

Second book in a row I haven't been able to put down this week, and for a debut novel, McGinnis really knocked this one out of the park. Both the story- and world-building is exceptional, the plot flowed seamlessly, and it always left me guessing. Lynn is such a powerful leading lady in a fictional world none of us can even imagine living in. I thought twice turning on a tap for the first time after getting halfway through this book, there isn't a doubt. A book that makes you think of the larger picture in real life is never a bad thing.

    Loved it

This book and its sequel give suspense , adventure, and a kick-ass heroine; but mostly they are stories of maternal love, whether it comes from our mothers or,, and how fiercely it contributes to survival. These books are filled with male and female characters who stay with you long after the book is done.
