  • Easy & Enjoyable Read!

My bubble gum for the brain, easy reading and enjoyable. I love Lynn Cahoon's series. You pick a book up and you find the same familiar, lovable characters.

  • Of Murder and Men

What a wonderful way to while away a wet day, hot drink and a thoroughly absorbing tale of murder. Beautifully woven mysteries all unfolding at just the right time. Lynn Cahoon's stories are always a joy to read, entertaining and tightly written. Like the others in the series this story does not disappoint.

  • Consistently cosy

Good addition to the series. Not deep and formulaic but a fun expected romp.

  • Cozy with a more substantial plot.

I really enjoyed book 3 in the Cat Latimer series. It can be read as a stand alone but you'll miss out on a lot of character background. Cat's supplementing her author income by hosting writers' retreats with her BFF Shauna. Handyman Seth still loves his high school girlfriend, Cat. When Shauna's secret fiance Kevin Shield is found murdered, Cat adds finding his killer to her investigation of the death of her ex-husband Michael to her list. Seeing a writer's path to published author through the retreat participants and guest speakers was very interesting. Adding Sasha from Tourist Trap series here was fun for those who already love Sasha (which I do). The ending wrapped up story plot lines extremely well.
