I was so sceptical of Ian Stevensons work and books that I asked friends who are psychologists, lecturers and counsellors, to help me understand. To my surprise, they didn't dismiss it out of hand, so at age 42, I started a psychology degree myself. Psychology however tells us nothing about consciousness other than describing it as the hard problem. Yet, consciousness is real, isn't it? We can't explain it, we don't know how it originates or where it comes or goes to, but we accept it even so. I expanded my reading in things like quantum physics and NDEs, I'm better read but no further forward! If a journalist like Schroder can't shake his own doubts (and I was hoping he might be able to tear great big holes in Stevensons cases) then I recommend you read this book and then one of Jim Tuckers and prepare to feel uncomfortable.
