    Thanks for your feedback!

Kelley Armstrong is one of my all time favourite authors (her Otherworld series is my top fav) so even though I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this one I knew that I was probably going to love it. I still was a bit hesitant to read it however.. mostly because I really wanted to love it and I wasn't sure if I could deal with my disappointment if I didn't... but thankfully there was nothing for me to worry about as the story pulled me in from the first page and then I did not want to put it down till I finished it :) Omens is the first in a series and I think overall the novel really reflected that. It has a lot of world building and set up for the rest of the story but I felt it all worked really well into setting up the main characters and their present day situation (as well as laying groundwork for other stuff - what I'm not completely sure of but I know its there). I was quite happy with the end though I did wish we got more information about the world and what is going as I was left with more questions than answers.. Overall this book is a nice mix of supernatural elements and murder mystery story.

    What a rush!

I was sorry to say goodbye to the Otherworld and skeptical to visit this new town. I was wrong to worry. As always Kelley does not disappoint. A twisting gripping adventure with developing players you want to know more about. No wasted flowery prose or thesaurus based monologues just a good honest read. Trust me, read it and you will want to visit Cainsville again and again. Fingers crossed. ;)

Great debut o a New Series

Olivia Taylor-Jones seems to have it all. She's the heiress to her parents' fortune set to be married to her perfect fiance. Then everything changes. The press gets word that Olivia is in fact adopted and her real parents are the infamous serial killers "the Larsons". Olivia then moves to Cainsville in order to hide from the press and make a new life for herself. She finds a job and begins to work with Gabriel Walsh, her real mother's former lawyer to see if her parents were the true serial killers. It seems that Olivia has a gift for interpreting omens and it make her both a valuable addition to Cainsville. The magic in this series is not obvious but we can see they are coming later in the series.
