Not the best in the series

This was not one of my favorites in this series. I like the characters but there was not much of a mystery here. The dead body does not even have a name until the end. the amateur sleuth pretends to be friends with police but keeps lots of information back. The relationship triangle also gets old quick. I was also hoping for more of a Christmas background. This author has some other books that are much better.

    Another enjoyable Library Lovers mystery

We are back at the Briar Creek Library with Library Director Lindsay Norris in this book, the 5th of the Library Lovers mysteries. Lindsay's brother Jack mysteriously arrives & then disappears. What is Jack involved in & is he in danger? Has he been kidnapped? Is he involved in the murder at the library? Lindsay must call upon help from her two squabbling admirers, Captain Mike Sullivan & actor Robbie Vine, and all of the craternooners to find and rescue her brother Jack before there is more bloodshed. I found the premise a little far fetched & the denouement a little rushed but I enjoyed the characters and the library setting. The setting even prodded me to renew my library card; something that I had let lapse for many years.
