    Off the eBook Map

Garfield gives a sketch of the history of mapping without going into any technical details. Nothing new for readers aguely familiar with this subject. The book also contains some amusing stories about contemporary topics in the "Map World", the most interesting of which are the chapters about maps trade and globe making. The book lives from its illustrations. Unfortunately this eBook edition does not allow the reader to enjoy them or investigate the details of the maps. This makes this product much less useful than it could be.

    Fascinating

From very early to modern electronic maps - if you have ever pulled out a map just to look at it you will love this book
