  • Into the darkness

Incredible story that is dark and yet sensitively light in its brilliance - a canvas that twists back in on itself and re-emerges with exquisite finesse. Shockingly hard - but impossible to forget.

  • On The shores of Darkness

An interesting, well written story about people's ways of coping wih the disappointments in their lives, and how that impacted those close to them, how one's maladaptive behaviour messes up others, how life can be cruel and unforgiving, yet march onward. Insightful, painful at times yet some small flicker of hope and survival remains.

  • Relatable

I felt like I really got to know the key characters so well, as they lived through the challenges of chronic illness and the impact that it has on the afflicted child and those who loved him. The adults in this book were damaged and flawed, and I kept wanting them all to wake up and see how they were wrecking the lives of the helpless that depended on them

  • I recommend this to all divorced parents.

A great read - the author really captured how life looks to children and how they process the actions of the adults in their life. A very interesting view of how adults affect their children.
