    Did not like it!

I did not like the story line and could not relate to the characters. In the end, there was some justice that someone found out about Odell, but Joyce never did. I would not recommend this book.

    One House Over

This story of Joyce & Odell Wilson, set in the deep south was a gripping story filled with family secrets, friendships and hardships. I was entranced with the nuances of everyday life playing out for this couple but was disappointed with the ending. I felt the story was just building to its' climax when it just ended. Having said that, I love Mary Monroe's style of writing and think I will purchase Over the Fence...a continuation of One House Over.

    A page turner!

I absolutely loved this novel. The author's style is quite unique and I couldn't put the book down! She writes with a subtle sense of humour and the characters were believable and very interesting. I was disappointed with the ending. It just seemed to "drop off" and didn't complete the plot. I was left wondering what happened to the mess O'Dell found himself mired in?
