Not worth the price for such a short read

Prologue, 13 Chapters, Epilogue. Price $3.99 Total Words- 47 K Pages- 173 3-4 hours to read. Contemporary Romance. -- ==It is told from Aubrey and Denver's perspective. It start's out with their younger years. Aubrey 17 years old, Denver 21 years old. -- --The time constantly jumps as the story goes on. 17, and 20.. To one month later, then five weeks later. I don't mind time jumps, this one bothered me though, because it took away from Gabe and Aubrey, It felt like it took the fast way out. -- --I couldn't connect to these characters. From the blurb I thought it would have been a great romance novel. The problem with short stories are they come off too rushed. -- ==The fact it is short and has push in pull definitely took away from the characters. *“I’m not going to stop, Bre. I’m not going to stop—even after I get what I want.”== ==“See? You’re freaking me out again!” she cries, tossing her arms out.== I feel the child interruptions was just so original. I am a crier and this read didn't cause me to shed not one tear. I this the idea was great, I just don't think it was written well. In my opinion it isn't worth $3.99.

I absolutely love her writing, took me less than a day to finish the book. Don't know what will I do with my life once I read all her books. A story about destiny and true love 😍 100% recommended 😍

    Incredible story with amazing characters!

Aubrey and Denver have been in love since they were teenagers. But a misunderstanding made Aubrey choose to date and eventually marry her best friend, Gabe. Years later, after the loss of her husband and raising her daughter alone, Aubrey is still reluctant to accept her feelings for Denver. But Denver is tired of waiting and he's decided that now is the time to fight for his girl. I wanted to read One Last Wish since I finished Wide Open Spaces. The wait was long but it was worth it! Aubrey and Denver's story is beautiful and it'll break your heart and heal it by the time you finish reading it. You'll cry, laugh and swoon and you'll want more. Aubrey is a sweet and kind woman, but also very strong and fierce. She's been through a lot, but she stays strong because of her daughter, Lyra. She feels guilty of her feeling for Denver because they're stronger than her feelings for Gabe, her best friend, late husband, and father of her child. Sometimes she frustrated me with all her back and forth, but I also understood her. Denver is a swoon worthy alpha male. He's been in love with Aubrey since they were teenagers and he's been waiting for her. He knew she wasn't ready to date after Gabe's death, but now he's tired of waiting and he's going to fight for Aubrey and Lyra. I loved how sweet he was with Lyra and how he accepted her even though he wasn't her biological father. Aurora Rose Reynolds did it again! She gave us an incredible story with amazing characters that will take you in a rollercoaster ride of emotions and you'll love every page of this phenomenal book. I can't wait to read what will come next and I really hope we'll go back to Alaska!

    Awesome story!

ONE LAST WISH was as beautiful a story as it was heartbreaking! Without going into detail (can’t give anything away) this story is about second chances. The story is very well written and pulled me along from the beginning to the end. I felt the pain and elation in the beginning, and the sadness and heartache, the confusion and the understanding that these characters went through. Aubrey is a strong character, but it does take her a bit to come to terms with her feelings while Denver knows exactly what he wants. There is some angst in the storyline that actually helps to draw the couple closer without it being too much. Overall, this was a great story. I liked the characters and the story flowed very well. It did take some time for the characters to finally get their HEA, but that just made more of an impact to the story line with me. I would highly recommend this story!

    Sweet & light contemporary romance.

One Last Wish is a fast-paced contemporary romance. Normally, I like stories that don't go into too much detail, however, I felt like the author left too much out of this story. There were already a couple of things that happened in the prologue that were a bit cliche, but even though those were minor it still impacted me in how I viewed the characters and their actions further along in the story. Aubrey married her best friend, however there is only one scene of them together, which resulted in me not feeling anything when he died. Also the way they ended up together was weird, and didn't feel real. On one hand I would've wanted to see more of the past highlighted in this book, but on the other hand I was happy we could go to present time pretty quickly. I think One Last Wish was an okay contemporary romance about two people who had been in love with each other since the moment they met, but did not end up together because they misinterpreted certain situations. Did I feel the love between them? Yes, I did. The moment Aubrey needed Denver, he left everything behind to be there for her. Denver did not hide his feelings for Aubrey, however she was hesitant to open herself up to him. I could feel Denver's frustrations through the book, but he was pretty patient and I loved that about him. He didn't let her hide her feelings for him. Lyra, Aubrey's daughter, was such a cute little girl. I especially loved her relationship with Denver. At the end of the day One Last Wish was a sweet and light contemporary romance, that kept me entertained until the end.
